How would you rate this car, the 2000 model. Reliablity, performance, trade in value and against Honda? I'm may purchase one, but I'm trying to learn as much as possible before I spend my good $$$.

Basically they rated out well, but the resale sucks. Rental car companies buy them by the thousands which in return floods the market with used Galants and lowers the resale.

Probably a good car, but not as good of a resale value as the Honda. My girlfriend and I just got done looking at the same class of cars and ended up with a 2001 Nissan Maxima GLE. It was roomier than most of the others and has 222 hp. We have had it for about 2 months now and although I'm not a fan of cars, I have been really impressed.

Having worked for a divison of the company and having seen how poor their customer service is, and having an over all insight to the operations of the corporation for almost 5 years I would have to say a big NO to buying a car from them. Seriously NO. When I was buying my car, friends I worked with told me their experiences with Mitsubishi cars and we worked for the company, they convinced me not to buy a car from the company, so take that for whats it's worth. I would n't if I were you.

You have been warned.

I love cars from Mitsubishi, they produced good cars. As for the galant model, if ur country have the complete model, try getting the Vr4(turbo) or the less powerful n cheaper model of Vr-m n Vr-g. These model r the bigger n heavier saloon car.

I will actually prefer the Lancer model. Look at the Evolution GSR in the last few yr. If u r looking at a high performance 4 dr saloon car, it must be the above mentioned. I love this model.

MIke Peter, if u r comparing Mitsubishi n Honda, firstly u must know what r u looking from them.

r u looking for a high performance car or r u looking for comfort. Do u need a bigger space? Get all this data posted and n i might be able to answer u more. :)

I had to go to www.consumerreports.com to get the information and some of which you need to be a member to gain access to . First this is based on a 2000 v-6 es 4 door sedan, the engine is a 3.0 litre v6 with a 4 speed automatic tranny. The v6 is fairly quiet and comfy, while the 4 cylinder model is responsive, but dissappointing on acceleration.A few pet peeves were drivers seat was not comfortable and rear seating was VERY tight. It was quiet as an accord with AVERAGE RELIABILITY. The foot pedals were offset to the left and and TOO CLOSE TOGETHER , and the crash test was ACCEPTABLE and that is the standard offset front crash test. I AM NOT a mitsubishi fan and many of my friends have had modified eclipses but they have had many problems and if not for their ability to work on the cars themselves the average owner may have his/her car in the shop and awful lot!! I own a toyota camry and I would buy another one in a minute no questions asked!! If you go used I am going to give you a web site that will save you a big HEADACHE LATER. This site gives you a vehicle history so you wont be stuck with someone elses piece of junk! WWW.CARFACTS.COM for the fee of $20 or $25 you can know if the car was in accidents, floods, what part of the country the vehicle came from, car dealer tells you the car was in florida all its life and you find out it was in NYC with all the SALT, and just will give you piece of mind. This report along with having a COMPLETE SERVICE CHECK on the vehicle will be your best CHANCE TO CATCH ANY IMPORTANT FACTS THE DEALER FORGOT TO TELL YOU!!!!! GOOD LUCK AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK SO YOU WONT GET BURNT!! MY advice: TOYOTA CAMRY V6 OR HONDA ACCORD V6 the camry beat the accord 3 or 4 years in a row so go figure, plus the honda is not as reliable as the toyota, especially if you get high mileage.I HAVE SEVERAL friends with toyota's and some with well over 100,000 miles and they run like champs, but the honda's have a not so good track record when the miles get up there, but that could be based on who was driving and conditions etc. There you have it so happy hunting! sorry for the long post but you are making a big purchase so the more info the better!! TOYOTA!!!!:D
