Minoxidol is it worth it?

Right now im just trying to keep the hair I have im not trying to "grow any back" And I heard it doesnt regrow hair on the hair line just the crown. So should I continue use. I mean even if I grow hair from the minoxidol ill probably get sloppy sometime soon and forget to use it and then i guess that hair will be lost anyways..........

It wasn't worth it for me personally. Then again I might now have given it a long enough go.

Nizoral shampoo and finasteride do the trick for me. Good enough at least.

I wouldn't be so fast to discard it though bro. My best advice would be to give it a try and see how it works for you. If it works well, then continue using it, if not, there are many other hairloss products outthere that can help you out. Nizoral, finasteride, avodart, spiro, nioxin, etc.

Ive used it before, didnt see much diffrerence im not losing much hair in my crown area. Will it be effective if only applied once a day? And how many days does it take before the hair grown by it to fall out after u stop using it/

If it's prescription strength (5% or above) then it will work but it takes months.

For me it was worth it. Have used for last 8+ years. My ex tells me that she thought I was going bald at one time, but she wouldn't think that now. Maybe I responded well or just started using at the right time.

I only use at night and I do not use it everynight. But I don't skimp on application. I use a fair amount.

I get lazy and if you stop using it for a long enough period of time (months), my hair starts to thin out. I actually don't every really notice a fall out, but hair is lost and remaining hairs get thin and weak. But when I start using regularly eventually things get back to normal.

There is some theories that if the hair follicle is atrophied for a period of time then the hair cannot be revived. This seems to be true, because response to minoxidil seem to be better when hairloss is recent.

Besides using minoxidil for my hair to look better now. I am preserving the hair folliciles by artificially means in case a better more permanent treatment comes along. Which I believe will happen. Even if it is 10 years down the road. At this point in time, I don't have any issues with using minoxidil for 10 more years. It simply is not a hassle for me. But at the same time, it is hard for me to think that I might be using it the rest of my life. Well have to see.

Not worth it here - it made me itch like a motherfucker. Since I buzz my hair close, I really don't give a shit that it is starting to go at the top, but I do used Nizoral 2x/week and 320mg of saw palmetto every day to try and keep most of what I have.

I don't care enough to get proscar/propecia for it. Your mileage may vary.

How much did you apply? I apply 2 squirts into the crown area of my head.

What areas do you apply it to?

Does yours also have azeliac acid in it mine does will that help even more?
