milk+acne

Trust me. I know far more about this then Golfer. What you eat and drink will not make you break out. Ask a dermatologist or research online.

Acne is mostly due to bacterial infection of the skin and overactive sebacious glands.

I agree - as does every doctor I've ever talked to about it - food has no effect.

*However*, if you have an allergy of some sort, it can exacerbate a condition. Caffeine allergy, for example, can cause the formation of pustules when caffeine is ingested from what I understand.
 
i drink alot of milk and never noticed any acne problems

Sorry guys

I don't normally jump into these arguments, but this time I feel I have a place.

I was acne prone when I was younger, and still am very acne prone.

Any doctor that says food doesn't bring it on is full of shit.

Now, I avoid candy bars, potato chips, pop, greasy food, fast food etc because I now realize that that shit is just bad for the body.

I have also noticed that when i avoid those things, I have no trouble with acne flareups.

But, if I devour those very things, on come the little red creatures.

So, take it from a person prone to ance - what you eat CAN bring on acne.

p.s. I am saying no on the dairy because I LIVE off dairy, for the most part, and have no troubles.

mild allergic reaction to something.....high amounts of sugar intake won't effect your acne....that's the kind of stuff your mother tells you so you take it easy on the sweets! :)

When I had acne REALLY bad as a teenageer, I remember that eating oily foods (like deep-fried anything) would make my skin notcieably more oily, leading to more zits.

But I've never had that problem with milk. I drink about four gallons of nonfat a week. Moooo!
 
It has EVERYTHING to do with what you EAT OR DRINK.

Food trigger certain hormones that cause acne.

Eat a really high lean protein diet, low carbs (good complex carbs are okay like oatmeal,veggies), and healthy fat (e.v. olive oil, fish oils, etc), AND your acne will reduce 75% in a few weeks.

Hormones are the main cause of acne true, but what most doctors fail to realize is how powerful certain foods are, and how the combination of certain foods can either make your face explode or put the acne in check.

Diet is everything.

But if you are a certain individual with persistent acne, check with your Derm for other options, But still - Even if he does perscribe you med, KEEP YOUR DIET ON POINT, and the effects of the meds will even be better.
