mild androgen insensitivity syndrome

Hi, I've been diagnosed with MAIS.It's a condition that even though you produce normal or even high test; you expresss many symptoms of low T because your androgen receptors respond very poorly to androgens and thus require supraphysiological doses of T for the receptors to start functioning properly. TRT doses are in the 250-500mg a week.

Has anyone heard of this conditiion?

i cant post links so for more info google mild androgen insensitivity syndrome

Sure I know of it from the worst of my nightmares. Also, from that chapter in the first season of House (not the mild variety, this was about a boy who looked like a female supermodel and hadn't developed male genitalia from the syndrome which is something they didn't make up for the show).

So, how did you find out and what are you going to do about it? not that it can be "cured", but you know. How does one live with the syndrome?

I am sure that if you research it a lot you might come up with some solutions and maybe some of the experts here can help.

I don't see how adding Test is going to help long term, it could at best not make the insensitivity worse, while possibly improving physical appearance short term, maybe long term, or not at all. But I doubt it helps with the androgen insensitivity may make it worse.

Some help here?

i'm sure there are guys who have this they just don't know they have it.

seems like a condition that is easy to mis-diagnose anyway

with all the bunk and underdosed gear out there you've got a bunch of 25 year old kids injecting 2 grams of gear a week thinking they have this condition anyway cause they don't know how to eat or train

I don't know of this condition, but I do know people have different levels of response to androgens. For me personally I seem to have to dose things on the high side. I also don't seem to get the sides at a given dose like others, and pretty much get no sides with anything unless I dose the shit out of it.

It also explains why some guys need only 100mg on HRT to get to upper normal range, where other guys may need 200mg. It sounds like varying androgen receptor sensitivity to me
