What are the symptoms of a migraine headache ?

For almost 24 hours now i've had this throbbing behind my left eye. Loss of appetite, sensitive to light, no energy.

Anything over the counter work well for a headache, excedrin, etc... ?

Nausea is another key indicator... unless thats what you meant by loss of App. Go to the Dr as over the counters don't help most people..
It's a Blood flow thing..

Have a baby.. that helped my wife get rid of them..

Nausea is what i meant, just wasn't sure how to spell it

Mrs Y takes Elavil nightly to relieve the stress and relax the vessels.
There are other spot treatments and daily preventatives but Generally the OTC
stuff is targeting the wrong thing with Migranes...

i'm not sure that it is a migraine. I just assumed because of some of the symptoms.

I've had similiar headaches but they are rare, like 2, maybe 3 times a year. This time it was just a little worse.

I take injectable imitrex for mine. Luckily I haven't had one in about four years. Mine last 3-4days and I can barely stand up, can't eat, have to lay in a dark room. The injection takes about ten minutes to start working then you are super relaxed and feel great.

Talk to a doc though as nothing over the counter works on mine.
