Asshole doctor can't get his act together and make a simple phone call to my insurance company.

MY GOD - I really hate doctors.
What do I have to do to get a doctor with pulse?

why would your doc need to call your insurance company? what ever happened to writing the script and off you go to the pharmacy?

I need a prior authorization from the doctor because the meds are epensive and when you take more than x amount per year they make you jump through hoops to prove that this is a neccessary drug.

I had to call the insurance company and tell them that my doctor is an ass and is "too busy" to get on the phone and aske them to call him. That was last thursday - he still has not returned their call. When I called the doctors office they wanted me to come for an appointment - I told them that was bullshit because I have a current script.

Long story short the insurance company extended my expired PPA to let the script to go through to give the doctor 30 days to make a phone call. And in that action my insurance company asked me to file a complaint against the doctor. (He's done this before - going as far as lying to me and telling me he had made a call and that the insurance company denied the request. - The insurance company confirmed that he never called and they never denied the request.)

BASTARD

I wish many migraines and no drugs on him.

I'm in the 5th day of a migraine and some idiot doctor can't make a phone call so I can have a med that will take my pain away.

It's no wonder people go mad.

There is no reason I would think that you are being made to suffer - certainly YOU SHOULD NOT have too. If it were me I think I would find another doctor who cares for his patients honestly and follows up. Is this doctor someone you can "trust" do you think to DO for you medically - properly? Or do you have times when you question him? (I know you said he was not following through for you but I am speaking medically - Is he thorough with your medical needs and do you trust him with your health? If not I would certainly find someone else). Check this web-site for more info on those headaches: www.webmd.com Hope this hleps ya Buddy. Take Care, John H.

Want me to pick some up for you across the border? Do they have it there?

What medication???

Can't you just pay cash and then file the reciept to your medical insurance for a refund?

I've bought the meds before but with out the PPA the insurance company will not pay for them.

18 pills - retail as it were is $356.

complain in writing if thats what your insurance company tells you to

find a new doctor ASAP

ask your doctor before the complaint to give you an emergency 5 day supply so this doesnt happen again

No I shouldn't have to and I've expressed this before and before the doctor moved offices (without telling any of his patients) his nurse - HIS OWN NURSE - suggested I should switch doctors because he's "not a very good doctor".

There are so few doctors out here and even fewer that are covered on my insurance. I have to change doctors but I have no idea where to go. I've received so great recommendations - none use my insurance. It makes me crazy.

I'll check out the webmd - thanks.
