What's the difference (if any) between a $10 Optical USB Mouse and a $60+ Optical USB Mouse?

Usually the amount of buttons and programmability. Sometimes the more expensive models have a high sampling rate which means more accuracy. If you'll be using it for any graphics/photo editing or gaming I'd go for one with a higher sample rate. If just for general purpose go with what's the cheaper or which feels more comfortable.
