mg's or IU's

My HCG is in IU's but many here talk about mg dosing. Is HCG measures in IU's and saying mg just a slip?

IU is the correct dosing for hcg and hgh for that matter.

IU = international unit

an IU is not a standardized unit that can be converted to mg with a single formula. IU is a unit of measurement for the amount of a substance, based on measured biological activity. IUs means something different for each item it is used for. So for one drug you could have 1000IUs and it is 10mg, whereas 10mg of another vitamin is only 100IU.

That's what I figured. Posters are transposing mg's for IU's.
