Metallica. S&M.

Just listened to this album today for the first time in several months. What do you think of it?

I think it's a great live album. Very original, with the symphony. And I thought they pulled it off well. Good song choices as well.

Now that I think about it, I do remember the Deep Purple one. Shit. My bad.

I still think it's an enjoyable album.

Nothing about that CD is original, they did not write those songs(not sure about some of them but i know they did not write no leaf clover) and the band Deep Purple played with a symphony a long time ago.

Metallica got popular in the 80s when they were a speed metal band. They got popular because they do a good job of marketing themselves and they never restricted their audience by being extremely violent and satanic like the other thrash metal bands of that time.

Their new stuff is put together well i will give you that but it sickens me that Metallica is credited with so much that they did not do.

I thoght they were satanic. Well at least in one of their songs they said they want earthly treasure in exchange they will serve the devil or something like that. Can't remember the song.

metallica has some mildly anti-religious songs but nothing compared to other bands of the time. I you want to know what real evil music is check out Slayer, Venom, Dark Angle, Destruction or one of the many others.

Don't forget Kreator.
