everyone talks about "Finding God". following "God's Plan".

But to say God exists you must be able to say "Satan exists".
How useful is it to try following God if you don't consciously avoid Satan at the same time? Noone ever talks about that.

Those that follow God think of only him and none other, Satin does not even come into play in that ball game. But if they are a true follower of God (not saying anyone that reads this is not a true follower of God) they will follow God and recognize Satin being there in their everyday life. Satin being there trying to temp them and sway them from the path they have chosen, which is towards God. If they do not recognize Satin being there that is where they are ignorant. Nobody avoids Satin and his ways, they just chose not to go that route (well almost everyone chooses for those that chose Satin).

Back to the subject: I believe there is a Satan. There must be one if God represents good, b/c there is no good without evil. Otherwise it would just be the only way. There are 2 choices for everything. Do I consciously avoid him? Nah, I like to think I told him to fuck off to his face.

What's the difference?

The difference is that when you avoid him you make excuses to yourself "for other peoples sake" for not doing those things that he temps people with. When you chose not to do the things you do not have excuses and you are truthful with yourself that it is for your sake and nobody elses that you do not do those things. You also are honest to Satin about not chosing his temptations.
