He was in a meet last weekend also(825), what was this meet btw?

he competed last saturday in bench america. this was today just an hour or two ago at an APF meet (Venice Beach)

scot's training is kinda like a secret. lol..nobody knows. i heard that he has 2 heavy benching days and does a lot of 2 and 3 board presses. i imagine he's also started training in his shirt frequently

When was this? I thought he just competed in a meet not too long ago?

I said training. . . .not enhancement.

There's a difference between the two.

someones quick on the ball today.

any time someone posts information about a record or feat of strength.....someone pipes up and says. "he uses roids" or "he uses a bench shirt" I thought i would step in early

it was a joke.

I love endpoint's avatar. That guy looks ready for war. Intense.

Not trying to take away from this guys lift because it is impressive, but that isn't even a triple bodyweight bench. What I find more impressive are the smaller guys that are benching well over 3x bodyweight.

1) Those guys are very short, and their arms are short even for someone as vertically challenged as they are. Scott has much longer arms, which means he needs an assload more muscle in relation to height to do the same strength to bodyweight ratio.

2) Allot of those guys depend heavily on their shirts. They are still very strong without them but there is no way in hell they could do triple bodyweight without it. Scott does not get much out of his double. His raw competition best is 713 but that was a long time ago. he recently did a raw triple with 700 that means his raw max was probably around 760, but now he might even be able to do 780 or more raw.

a phenomenal acomplishment

read somewhere that he only started competing again a few years ago. i know there are alot of different federations out there, but does anyone know of a website where i could find raw powerlifting records? every time a i do a search i get some regional listing. perhaps no one has bothered to compile these records.

well scot's 713 was done in APF also

this was supposedly his last meet. he is desperately wanting to spend more time with his family. i personally cant see why he doesnt do both though

his website is down and has been as far back as i can remember

Any word on Anthony Clark?? I wonder if he plans to recapture the record? If so, he has a ways to go.

Does Scott also have a reasonable squat and deadlift?

i wish i knew mendy's squat and dead. if somebody gets bored, go to goheavy.com's 'debates' forum and do a search. i think it was mentioned somewhere. that or just ask. lol. i know a lot of people, myself included, are dying to know

the last i heard of anthony, he was going to be released from the hospital. to be honest, i dont think he'll get the record back due to his ongoing and current health situatinons, age, and loss of training time

875?? He's a record-setting machine! This is truly nutty. With these kinds of performances, just imagine what he can (and probably has) do for the sport of powerlifting.

I'm loving it...

:D :D :D

I have read that he is a 1000 pound squatter, i have also read that he only benches like twice a month in training....don't know if that is true or not

uhh, this guy is competing every weekend it seems like. he gets his training in at the meet

was that the vi dof the 875?? if so that is nuts just a week or 2 ago he barely moved the 850 i think it was this week the 875 flew up like he had more left in him. this is insane, the things a human can do it they really want to never ceases to amaze me.:fro:

That's it. I don't care what Spatts says. This guy is on creatine.
I dont think its normal creatine. I would have to be celltech. there is no way a regular creatine could do that. It must have a super advance delivery system.

they are timed release capsules, he takes them 1 hr before a meet.

Yup... you are probably right. He's on some kind of new experimental version of EAS's Phospagen gum drops.
