Please realize that a lot of men do not do their own shopping, but their wives/girlfriends shop for them. My husband needs pants with a loosely cut leg as do many bodybuilders but I am frequently the consumer(female)....Best of Luck! Ginger

No preference but I usually shop at big department stores.

1) 20 / 35-36 shirts, I have to buy pants that are a 38 in waist to get them to fit my legs, so wider leg pants would be good, because it is hard to tailor down 5 sizes...

6)Ted Baker and Versace on the high end and I guess some Guess stuff

Shirt : 17 -18 neck, but I like them to be fitted - most 18 inch collar shirts fit like tents. 35/36 sleeves. I like oxford button downs with a cool pattern - not just white.
Pants : 34 X 34

2) how much do you normally buy in one particular store? item count.
When I buy its usually something like 2 shirts, a belt and a tie; or 2 pairs of slacks and a shirt.

3) casual or work?
Both - polos for caz, oxfords and pleated slacks for work.

4) favorite thing to buy?

5) types of socks you prefer?
Black socks - they never get dirty, the longer you wear 'em the darker they get.
I use to wear argyles when I was in my early twenties.

Usually alone. I go with my wife when she shops for her, otherwise she won't buy new clothes. I had to go with her to buy bras the other day. She is scared to spend money.

Small stores, whats a boutique...you really are a girl aren't you

Fitted shirts with large collars, loose slacks. Loose jeans and t shirts for play and recreation.

Shit I haven't bought a jacket in 5 years.

i'm just under 6 ft and i have a 34" inseam. i like clothes that are comfortable and made well, but are relatively cheap in cost. most of my jeans are lucky brand. shirts are anything and everything from nice dress shirts, to sweat shirts, to crappy t-shirts. i will buy multiple items from one store if the price is right or i may buy one semi-expensive item i really like. it all depends. sorry i'm not much help on the specifics.

also i usually shop with my wife. i like loose fitting clothes mostly, unless that style of shirt is meant to be tight

WOW.. you guys have been a real help!!! You have honestly helped me made pertinent decisions!!

I now know that most men like to one-stop-shop.. so basically in my boutique/store, i will carry everything from Calvin underwear, to Polo ankle socks, to blets, ties, dress shirts, pants, jeans (i have lucky jeans in my stock already to some tight club shirts, to casual fun stuff and even some awesome pj bottoms!!!

Basically i will carry everything a man needs!! I chose a men's store because you guys are so much easier than women.. You guys hunt rather than shop around.. You know what you like and want and go right for it!!

I was also really wondering if i should carry pants and jeans with a 34" inseam and from the responses it seems i should at least have 1 or 2 in stock for the taller men!!

My main audience in my town is yuppies for the most part.. men that stay in shape rather than bbing...

I have run out of karma for the night, but i promise to send everyone some just as soon as i am able to!!!
