Medical/DR. question while on AS

I'm on a EQ/Sus/Dbol cycle and I have to have skin graphed from the roof of my mouth and put on my bottom gum, do to a receding gum line on my bottom teeth.

Anyways.....during surgery I won't be put completely under....but the doc said I won't remember being awake. It will be a slight state of awareness, but won't remember it and will feel good/be happy.
I'm sorry I don't know the drug he will be using for this procedure....I meant to ask...but forgot. He will be administering it through IV.

With this little info I have given does anyone have a guess what the drug might be and if I should be concerned since I'm on a EQ/Sus/Dbol cycle at this time and it will be done while I'm on the cycle.

I need to get this procedure done now while I'm home on Summer break from school and this is also the best time for me to be on a cycle, since I'm home from school.

I thought about telling the doctor what I'm on, but we were never really alone in a closed room. For the most part a nurse was always nearby and the room was an open room (no doors).

My mother knows what I am taking is very concerned a reaction from the AS and the DR's IV.
My good friend had ACL surgery while in the middle of his cycle and he told his Doc everthing he was on. The doctor told him it wouldn't be a problem and if anything it would help him heal quicker. I know he went all the way under for his surgery.....not sure if I can compare the two since I won't be completely under/asleep.

Any ideas or help?

I am no expert but this is my story.
Last year I had a hernia fixed with the same type of drugs. Before the surgery I was going over some paperwork with the anithelogist (SP) and one of the questions was steriods. I asked if it mattered and he wanted to know what kind. I told him test enthate and he had to think a second. I guess he either didn't know what it was or that I was so bold in saying so. Anyways he said he was only concerned with topical steriods and inhaler steriods. Anabolic and androgenic steriods are way different.

All I can give you is a best 'guess' so don't take this as medical fact.

The IV drug will probably be some sort of benzodiazepine (e.g. valium) or maybe some other type of sedative/hypnotic. There will be no interaction between the AAS and the sedative. However, if your blood pressure is high due to the AAS, and due to their effect on blood clotting agents, you could bleed more than you would normally. So you'll probably be alright.

Disclaimer - I have no medical training so what do I know.:)

Tell your doctor everything. There are two people you never lie to your doctor and your lawyer. Just write everything down and hand it to him or to the gas passer.

I was on the exact same cycle as you when I had surgury last year. They asked me if I used steroids before they put me to sleep. I know it was stupid to do but I told them I didn't use them. Anyway, the surgury went fine and I didn't have any problems. I think I read before that gear can thin your blood out quite a bit and during an operation it could cause some problems as the bleeding is hard to stop. I'm not sure if this is true or not.

Two things the young man From Texas is correct, tell the dentist everything.

Second I have had that procedure and they simply gave me valium, it was non-reative and actually enjoyable,

I hope he has you on anti-biotics (sp) post suregery.

I'm not a doctor(I'm a nurse),but I have a lot of experience in sportsmedicine with guys just like you :).
In our office,we would use versed or valium as an amnesic agent when we had to do closed reductions, etc(and most places use versed ,especially if there isn't going to be an anesthesiologist). If you are using strictly anabolic/androgenic agents, there shouldn't be any interference, especially if you haven't been on gear a long tme,and/or have been taking good care of your liver.I would be more concerned if you were using DNP or cytomel and not tellling us,as these can cause some cardiovascular changes when using anesthetics.Nonetheless,I would definitely tell the doc/dentist the scoop on your AS use. It's illegal for them to disclose your confidential information, and doctors/hospitals have been successfully sued.:D
