Medical Advice

I went to the doc and found out I have a slight heart condition.
My right side of my heart is overdeveloped and some of my valves are larger than normal. I was born with it. I'll get the medical term from the report when I get it.
I asked the doc about using steroids and he said it would kill me in short notice. I asked him if cardiac muscle reacted the same as skeletal muscle, he said my heart couldn't take it.

Blood Pressure aside, what can steroids to to the heart if taken in moderate doses?

this is an interesting question. I don't believe that AS alone would kill you because of a heart condition. I think you should find a new doctor. Sounds like he just gave you a blanket statment and doesn't really have a clue when dealing with AS.

But then again Iam no doctor. Just have to deal with them (public health)

Dude, no legit medical doctor is going to advocate the usage of AAS regardless of your health condition. Major medical liability. AAS does place a strain on the heart. If anyone tells you it does not, they are dead fucking wrong!!! It may be a prescription of death for you. I would not even consider using any AAS at all!!!! even if you think and feel the doses are moderate. Moderate for people with healthy functioning organs.

The ultimate decision will be yours. If it were me, I would not even think about it. Thats my input. Good Luck.

Personally, I wouldn't risk it. Keep training naturally...AAS are not the only way to gain muscle, and many people rely on them too much.

Firstly find a doctor like an HRT doc who is more knowledgable and open-minded in this area and get a second opinion

secondly, yes, AAS will have an impact on the heart (actually weight training itself to some degree as well) and will cause enlargement and usually in a disprportionate fashion that in a normal person is a sligth health detriment , but in someone with your condition may exagerrate it such as to be a serious concern

still i would surmise if monitored it would not kill you and if you used wisely, sparing and with a set knowledge of exactly what you are doing may well have little to no ill effect

this is of course just speculatioin and i am not an MD trained in this specialty so i only can make an educated conjecture

everything is life is risk:reward , but being as informed as possible allows ones to assess this balance most accurately so if you wish to pursue this get as educated on the subject as you can and best find a doctor who has a background in this discipline and perhaps even if he advises so can monitor you if you so choose

my best/instynct
