The squats felt easy this time. Other times they have felt heavy. Im dissapointed with my bodyweight to strength ratio....I really believe that I was stronger when I weighed 200, rather than the 220 I weigh now. But the hip strength is definitly improving.

well then I guess you need to condition yourself to be strong then. Clean up the diet and start putting an external stimulus on your lifts to create a Need to get stronger.
