Any of you ? If so how do you like it ? How is the handling ? Enough torque (155lbs-ft for a 240HP engine) ? ANything you dislike ? :qt:

overpriced, underpowered, ugly butt. but i love the front end! :)

i do want to take a ride in one though. wonder how it feels ??

Fun, cool looking, and a good amount of room, but orverpriced, imo. Plus with that rotory engine, you're in shit if it breaks down far away from a Mazda dealership.

You've likely already had a look at the competition, but if not be sure to check out the Honda S2000, and the 350Z from Nissan. I'm planning on the Z car myself next year. It's an absolute blast to drive. Although there's a 3 month waiting list and not everyone is wild about it's looks -- it's very reasonably priced and performs better than any other car in its class.

Did you test drive other cars before buying this one ?

I tested it. Hemmed and hawed about it, so they loaned it to me for the weekend.

Took it to test the Nissan 350Z the following day.

Also drove Celica and MR2.

Interesting. The 350Z is like 10k$ more...

Yeah, I REALLY loved the idea of a rotary engine. So I was basically sold on it up front. But figured I should test drive some other cars, just to claim due dilligence.

one thing i can't stand about it is the extra pair of half doors. if i want a station wagon i'll buy one. anything over 2 seats is unnecessary.

I have a 4 year old daughter, those doors are what sold her on it. She thought a kid-sized door was the coolest thing in the world.

By American. How about a nice 05 Mustang. Same price maybe a bit cheaper, and sooo much more power.

I walked away paying 28k for a fully loaded 8.

Fully loaded SVT is not gonna price in the low 30 range, let alone sub 30k.

The only reason I'd buy a Mustang would be a Cobra and they won't make any in 2005...

A fully loaded GT would put you in the low to mid 20's, with 300 HP and 320 FT Lbs of Tourque.

Mid 13 second quarter mile and will dust any of the above cars you mentioned.

Sweet ride but no SVT Cobra and 18" rims until 2006.
Your right about the cobra, but if thats what you have to get, get a used 03 or 04.

BTW the 05 GT's do have the option for 18x9's. I just don't like them. that was one of the first things I changed on my 99 GT. Got the Cobra R's! SCHWEET!

All you would have to do is go look at an 05 and I bet you guy one. Don't get me wrong If I could afford a cobra I would have gotten that instead. Especially since they pump out 390 HP stock.

Here is mine.
