Max Protien per Meal

Is there a max amount of protien that your body can absorb during one meal? I want to make sure I have my protien intake spread out enought, so that I am not getting too much in one meal (more then my body can use)

you're in dallas so I'll answer you!

most people think that 30-40 grams per meal is about the most you can digest

people over 250 or on steroids could possibly use more

after your workout is the only time you should go up to 50 grams IMO, and that should be whey protein powder
 
It's hard to say as several factors play into this such as: genetics, exercise, size, metabolism, etc. I don't have a HARD figure, but depending on what you do, 60-70g seems reasonable. Unfortunately, I do not have any studies handy
 
Thanks all for you help, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't haveing any protien "go to waste" so to speak. A good rule of thumb for grams of protien per meal is what I was looking for.

rule of thumb

take your bodyweight x 1.5 = grams of protein per day

divide that number by 6

you should be safe with that amount and not wasting much and not be in a deficit
