Max-OT Training @ Home

This is an email I sent to AST Sports Science. I never got any reply, so I wanted to see if any Max-OT experts would be able to help.

I wanted to start Max-OT as soon as possible. Most exercises in Max-OT Week 1 training could be done at a home gym, but there are some exercises that can't be done at a home gym, and would need gym equipment to do so. Exercises such as leg press, tricep cable press downs, and cable pull downs. Any exercises that include using a machine and/or cable machine. A lot of people workout at home, and by doing so, they usually have all the essential equipment needed. Like me, I workout out home, and my home gym consists of a power rack w/ chin-up bar & dip bars, adjustable bench w/ leg attachment, weight set w/ barbell & dumbbells. It would be great if Max-OT had 2 routines, 1 gym routine, and 1 home gym routine. Like Max-OT states, I would like to follow it to a "T", but cannot due to exercises. So I guess my email is for asking substitute exercises for the exercises that can not be done without a machine and/or cable machine. Though, I know each Max-OT week changes with exercises, but I'm sure I will have this problem again. I don't want to be emailing this question for each week, so I'm not exactly sure what to do... I want to start Max-OT and could follow it to a "T", the only changes I would have to make is to some of the exercises that can not be performed at a home gym.

Thanks,
James

I don`t know if this will help but I never follow a routine to a " T ".
Personally I do not see a reason to follow any routine to a absolute " T ".

I will however follow the particular logic and core philosophy/structure of a routine but will always make changes that will harmonize with my own instinctive training instincts.

This way I feel I have the best of both worlds. I can utilize a routines (core structure) while at the same time using or(exchanging) exercises that I know from experience work for me.

Lets "just say" a routine calls for 3 sets of regular squats and 2 sets of hack squats. Since I don`t have a hack machine I would
dip into the old creativity account and perhaps do front squats with a narrow foot stance instead.

Muscles have no emotion and simply react to resistance. A few minor exercise changes here and there will not alter the effectiveness of a given routines structure or philosophy.
IMHO of course.
