Massaging area after injection?

just wondering what everyones thoughts are on massaging the injection site after an injection? should it be done? yes? no? why?

I used to alwasy massage the area right after, but have recently read that you should not do this and have stopped.

I inject then take a hot shower and massage during the shower at least 5-10 mins then go hit the gym and work that body part if I can.

I always inject in the glute then give it a quick rub - not had any major build up of scar tissue yet

but today took my shot when i pulled the pin out a bid spurt of blood shot out, dunno if thats bad? but it stopped pretty much straight away

I've had that happen in the delt. You nicked a vein. Should be ok. If I rub anything in the shower for 5-10 minutes, it isn't the injection site.

Really is that it, as i say it stopped straight away and had no problem since - i was more concerned thinking that my gear would be squirting back out

Assuming you aspirated and didn't get blood in the syringe right? But yeah, you're ok with the blood. The massaging I don't know, but it's supposed to help disperse the oil and it is something I just kinda thought you did...so I always have.

Yes massage it everytime it will prevent pain later on in the week or atleast ease it.

Nah didnt blood the pin or syringe, it happened after the needle was fully out like a pressure release

rubbing helps i find makes the 2nd and 3rd day less painful around the depot area

I've also read that with a larger-volume injection there is some risk of inducing minor fascia tears and, again, massage is contra-indicated.

interesting read Blut Wump. thanks. it say that you should not massage the area afterwards. (i skimmed through quickly - am at work) so im not sure what the reasoning behind this is.

its with large volumes. If you do the reccommended shot per site then this may not pertain to you. According to medical practices you should never go over 3 cc in large muscles ie glutes 2 cc in the leg and 1.5 in the delts. If you are shooting inthe trap, bi, tri, and other obscure places you got some fucking balls IMO. lol
