I THINK SPURRIER WANTS TO GO TO TAMPA BAY. DUNGI WILL LIKELY BE GONE SINCE HIS FIRST ROUND LOSS. BESIDES, SPURRIER WANTS A PLACE WHERE HE CAN COACH WITHOUT SOME FUCKING MIDGET LOOKING OVER HIS SHOULDER EVERY PLAY.

Yeah but marty had some gaurenteed money in his contract, so he gets paid well. And after the way he finished the season someone will be calling for him to coach a team. he's still got it.

Although I have to say that I thought getting him last year was the WORST idea and that he was washed up.

Maybe Snyder wants to talk to Parcells then. He's back on the market supposedly.

I can't believe Marty got just one season to turn that team around. Regardless of the money, I think he's still got what it takes to coach in the NFL.

Snyder's too damned impatient. It's gonna cost him something like $10 mil to ditch Marty and his staff. Should've given at least one more year, preferably 2.

Schottenheimer getting fired is a fucking crime!!!! Snyder is a fool. He has all the makings of a great owner but doesn't know when to throw the towel in when crossing into a coaches domain. Marty is a damn good coach and it is sad he only got 1 year. The players are the reason that team went 0-5 at the beginning. They didn't want to listen to him, and the results showed. When they bought into his coaching styles, they went 8-3. What is Snyder gonna do when they do no better next year? Is he gonna fire Spurrier as well? I've been a skins fan since the riggin's days, and never thought I would feel the way I do as right now. Spurrier is a great COLLEGE coach, and is UNPROVEN in the pros. Big difference! The team had the boat rollin' and on track for next season.

All I can say is that they better get rid of that punk ass Michael Westbrook and can Tony "I suck" Banks!!! Schottenheimer went 8-3 with that jackass at QB. God he sux ass! Sad thing is he was blamed for canning that loser George, who also sucks. Snyder needs to step the hell back, which doesn't seem like it will happen since he is wanting the necessities in his organization to do so. I am soo damn frustrated right now. First Norv Turner gets ripped and now Marty...a fucking shame. Maybe Norv and Marty should team together.

I seen this coming a mile away...Do you really think Spurrier would have quit one of the most prestigous college teams in the US unless he already had the way paved for him...he's not stupid. It has been planned for awhile, and Marty never had a fucking chance.

Damn...I could go on but am just gonna stop here...vent....vent....vent....

BTW...by no means am I putting down Spurrier, but until he has proven himself a winner with the big boys, he is nothing, and if he is smart, he will put in a clause in his contract like Marty did...especially since 7 million dollars is like pocket change for that little shit Snyder. Little bitch...i'd like to have 2 minutes with his litle ass. I just can't help but wonder what the skin's players are thinking/feeling right now.

Look for the skins to suck again next season. This is stupid beyond stupidity. Snyder has proven he has no common sense or ability to allow a team to mold.
 
The rumor I have been hearing is Bill Parsels is a #1 on Tampa Bays list of new coaches. Do you really think he will come back......again????

I've heard that rumor too. Wouldn't surprise me in the least. I don't think football coaches ever truly retire. I've gotta think they take a little time off, and then really get the itch to get back in.

Look at Dick Vermeil. He's in his 60's and decided he wanted to coach again.
 
I have been a Redskins fan for 20 years and feel this is a good move. In the NFL you need to have a good offence to win games, you need to score points. The Redskins have a great defense but no offence. Bring Spurrier in gives them a genius at the offensive realm. Granted I hated Spurrier because I am a huge Penn State fan but that guy is amazing. On top of having Spurrier now they are talking about Bobby Beathard coming back. Any one who follows the Redskins knows that Beathard was able to supply Joe Gibbs with a study stream of aging talent to win with. Hell just look at the fact that the Redskins won 3 super bowls with three different QB's. Beathard will be the shield for Spurrier. I think Snyder by hiring Beathard is recognizing that he can't make the kind of personal decisions he has made in the past. Spurrier has said that all he wants to do is coach, with Beathard on his side the Redskins could build another dynasty quickly.

Well heres one bama fan thats glad spurrier is out of the sec. But also going to be fun to watch him fail in the NFL. His style of yelling at pro's will not set well.......
 
I still think the Gators are gonna kick ass again next year. Look at Miami, when Butch Davis left they still won. No offense to the members from Texas, but teh state of Florida puts out the best college talent in the nation. As long as that remains true they'll still recruit top talent, and still be up there in the SEC.
