Just bought the last Flex (August 2002). I was on a business trip and had nothing to read for a crap.

I can't believe Markus Rühl won the 2002 NOC. Ok, he's big, but where the hell is the symmetry? I look at that guy and I think it's one of the most disgusting body in pro bodybuilding. He's like 25 and looks 43, his posing trunks are 2 sizes too tight, I mean, WTF! IMHO, pro bodybuilding judges are sending the wrong message.

Sorry for the Marcus Rühl fans. I think guys like Lee Priest deserve so much more credit.

Markus is 30 years old.

I was at the show as well and he won. I am not a big fan of the extended abs, but he was also the most cut man up there. His muscle seperation is incredible. Look at the striations in his chest, compared to anyone else on stage.

Where are his symmetrical flaws. As far as I can tell every muscle on him is huge.

If you mentioned that Bautista was not symmetrical, I would concur. He is freaky, but should not have been in third place.

Bautista's legs are freaky thats bout it. He has no upper chest and no V taper look. He's big but i think he looked like shit. His legs are so dominating that thats what u judge him on

The Symmetrie of Cutler ?? Mass Freaks are Freaks and no whimpy Symmetrie Ballerinas !!
Ruehl is a machine and he is one of the BEST !!
I also like Levrone and guys like Wheeler(very friendly at the FIBO),Taylor and James...but they are not as freaky as Coleman and Ruehl...

Kevin Levrone is a guy I like.

My point is this. If Markus was the best man on stage, we do have a problem. In the 80's, eventhough I was only about 15, I looked at Arnold and said "man, I wanna look like that". Today I look at Markus and say "God forbid....". Fortunately, it will never happen. I'll never look like Arnold either:-(

I think Lee Priest has the freakiest body out there. He has the same measurements at 5'4" as some guys that are 5'9" and above. That's pathetic for the taller guys!!! I think his arms and abs are among the best, not to mention his forearms. When I met and shook his hand, his hands were like a frickin' rock. Solid as hell.
