Good thinking Manny.
And for the leukemic supplemental regime:

#1(From AF)
I talked to Dr Burt Berkson last night from his home in New Mexico.
For anyone who isn't aware he is the world authority on lipoic acid. For 25 years he was the lead investigator of lipoic acid for the FDA and it was he who did the FDA research to come up with the LD50 in humans of lipoic acid (100mg/kg). He lectures on LA over 20 times a year in various universities. He has written 2 books on LA. If you put lipoic and berkson into a search at google you'll get 3000 hits. I could go on but you get the idea.
We talked for half an hour about the wonders of lipoic acid. He CURES dozens of Hep C cases every month at his clinic in NM with nothing but lipoic acid. In his first experiment with LA he had 75 of 78 patients treated, who had severe liver damage, repair and regrow their livers to perfect health.
Use 400mg/day for liver protection.
He is going to use our r-ALA on some of his patients.
One very interesting anecdote he told me.
The US Military has shipped a truckload of Lipoic Acid to the middle east where our troops are stationed. Why?
The Russians used Lipoic Acid to treat the children and clean up workers of Chernobyl.
None of the children treated with 600mg/day of Lipoic Acid developed Leukemia or other cancers that the children who did not receive the treatment developed.
Also it protected the cleanup workers from radiation illnesses. [1]

Thi is VERY IMPORTANT:
The reason why lipoic acid prevented cancer is because lipoic acid is an EXTREMELY potent de-activator of the NF-Kappa-B function that regulates cancerous growth.
r-ala will STOP cancer from spreading. Just stop it dead in its ytracks.

Differential effects of the antioxidant alpha-lipoic acid on the proliferation of mitogen-stimulated peripheral blood lymphocytes and leukaemic T cells.
Pack RA, Hardy K, Madigan MC, Hunt NH.
Department of Pathology, University of Sydney, NSW 2006, Sydney, Australia.
The effects of the antioxidant alpha-lipoic acid (LA) on the proliferation of mitogen-stimulated human peripheral blood lymphocytes (HPBL) were investigated in comparison to its effects on the proliferation of two leukaemic T cell lines, Jurkat and CCRF-CEM. At low mM concentrations, LA inhibited in a dose-dependent manner DNA synthesis of HPBL stimulated with either phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) in combination with ionomycin (IoM), or phytohaemagglutinin (PHA). At similar concentrations, LA inhibited the proliferation of Jurkat and CCRF-CEM cells.
Important part:
However, LA was preferentially cytotoxic to the leukaemic cell lines.
(So r-ala Kills the bad lymphocytes and spares the rest)
The selective toxicity of LA to Jurkat cells was shown by electron microscopy (EM) to be due to the induction of apoptosis. Furthermore, LA had different effects on the secretion of interleukin-2 (IL-2) and steady-state levels of IL-2 mRNA in mitogen-stimulated HPBL depending on the mitogens used. LA dramatically increased the induction of IL-2 mRNA and IL-2 protein secretion in PMA/IoM-stimulated HPBL, whereas it inhibited these in HPBL stimulated with PHA.
HPBL = Human T Limphocytes HEALTHY
ALA(Use r-ala though) Increased the production of IL-2 in the cells. IL-2 is a very potent immune system booster btw.
Leukemic T Cell lines = Jurkat + CCRF-CEM
ALA(use r-ala) INHIBITED the prodiction of IL-2 from the Leukemic cells..... not allowing them to defend themselves or replicate...and maybe, just maybe die off.
Again:
The differential effects of LA on normal and leukaemic T lymphocytes may indicate a new route towards development of therapeutic agents.
PMID: 11841833 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]
r-ala can stop a LOT OF CANCERS.
B/c as i explained above:
The reason why lipoic acid prevented cancer is because lipoic acid is an EXTREMELY potent de-activator of the NF-Kappa-B function that regulates cancerous growth.
Cancer needs this "switch" turned on to replicate it. If you remove it, cancer growth STOPS.

Induction of the differentiation of HL-60 promyelocytic leukemia cells by vitamin E and other antioxidants in combination with low levels of vitamin D3: possible relationship to NF-kappaB.
Sokoloski JA, Hodnick WF, Mayne ST, Cinquina C, Kim CS, Sartorelli AC.
Department of Pharmacology, Cancer Center, Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT 06520, USA.
Epidemiological studies have provided evidence that diets rich in antioxidant nutrients may reduce the risk of cancer.
Here:
To evaluate the possibility that dietary phytochemicals with antioxidant potential would create an environment capable of affecting the differentiation of HL-60 leukemia cells, we measured the effects of vitamin E and other dietary antioxidants on the differentiation produced by low levels of vitamin D3 and analogs thereof. Vitamin E succinate and other antioxidant compounds (ie butylated hydroxyanisole, beta-carotene and lipoic acid) used alone had no significant effect on the differentiation of HL-60 cells; however, these agents markedly increased the differentiation produced by vitamin D3. Previous studies from this laboratory have shown that a sequence-specific antisense phosphorothioate oligonucleotide to the Rel A subunit of NF-kappaB enhanced the differentiation of HL-60 cells produced by several inducing agents.
Here:
Consistent with these observations, vitamin E succinate caused a marked reduction in the nuclear content of NF-kappaB both in the presence and absence of vitamin D3.
And the ghist of this thread:
These findings suggest that NF-kappaB may be a factor in regulating the differentiation of myeloid leukemia cells. The results also indicate that combinations of vitamin D3 and analogs thereof with dietary antioxidants may be useful in overcoming the differentiation block present in acute promyelocytic leukemia cells.

Ok, so the supplementation combo becomes:
Follow it to the letter plus what the doc gives you.
He will most likely put you in Radiation therapy and then MAYBE
IL-2...which is crap comapred to IL-15(But insure does not cover this) but all docs follow thier pre-set ways and never thibk outside the box so-to-speak.

Comparative antiproliferative and apoptotic effects of resveratrol, epsilon-viniferin and vine-shots derived polyphenols (vineatrols) on chronic B lymphocytic leukemia cells and normal human lymphocytes.

Trans-resveratrol, its dimer epsilon-viniferin and two preparations of vineatrol (a grape-derived polyphenol fraction isolated from vine-shots extracts) were compared for their effects on the proliferation and survival of normal and leukemic human lymphocytes.
sSo, there are 3 types of polyphenols.
The two different batches of vineatrol (vineatrol 10 and 25%) was obtained by HPLC fractionation and contained 10 and 25% trans-resveratrol, respectively. The different polyphenols were added to cultures of leukemic cells from chronic B cell malignancies (B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia, B-CLL or hairy cell leukemia, HCL) or normal peripheral blood-derived mononuclear cells (PBMC) as a control. The different polyphenols displayed anti-proliferative effect on the leukemic cells, as estimated by the observed inhibition of tritiated thymidine uptake and the reduction of cell recovery.
Hre we go:
Vineatrol 10% was the most potent whereas vineatrol 25% and resveratrol displayed comparable activity, epsilon-viniferin only exhibiting slight effets. The same order of potency was observed for their capacity to induce apoptosis in leukemic B cells.
In contrast, the survival of normal peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) was little affected in the presence of these polyphenolic compounds and higher concentrations were required in order to elicit cell death. Polyphenol-driven apoptosis in chronic leukemic B cells was shown to correlate with an activation of caspase 3, a drop in the mitochondrial transmembrane potential, a reduction in the expression of the anti-apoptotic protein bcl-2, as well as a reduction in the expression of the inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). Our data therefore indicate that vine-shoots may be a convenient and natural source of material for the purification of resveratrol and other polyphenolic compounds of putative therapeutic interest.

And:
DHEA Inhibits Cancer Cell Proliferation
DHEA may be effective in preventing and treating cancer. In one study, DHEA inhibited tumor proliferation of rat liver cells by blocking the cancer cell promoting enzyme glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH). The human equivalent dose of 600 mg a day suppressed breast tumors in mice by 70%, yet these scientists showed that even human equivalent doses of 25 to 120 mg showed striking cancer prevention benefits, with no evidence of toxicity.
DHEA has been shown to inhibit chemically induced cancers in the colon, lung, breast, and skin. When DHEA is applied directly to the skin, DHEA prevented chemically induced skin cancer. DHEA had this effect by blocking the binding of carcinogens to skin cells and by inhibiting the enzyme G6PDH.
The best part:
One study showed that patients with adult T-cell leukemia (ATL) had significantly decreased levels of DHEA compared to healthy controls. This has led some doctors to speculate that DHEA might be beneficial in treating this form of leukemia since DHEA has already been shown effective in treating hairy cell leukemia. Other cancer studies show DHEA inhibits cancer cell thymidine incorporation needed for cellular propagation and disrupts the oxidizing effects of chemical carcinogens. Scientists point out that DHEA functions not as an antioxidant, but as a modulator of the effects of chemical carcinogens on cells (American Journal of Hematology, 1996, 53[3]).
