They arent content with jack shit. You would be content with not being able to see your dick?
Fuck that, Everyone I know cares about how they look. Its only natural too.
I know what you mean Golfer, but my point is this, and alot of
vets may see what angle I'm coming from. I've been doing this
since Reagan was in office, I never dreamed I would ever look the
way I look now. If you had told me I would look like I do today in 1985, I would've said I would be the happiest, most satisfied motherfucker in the game. Well, guess what, I am no more content than when I did that 1st benchpress. It is a mindgame sometimes, that is self-defeating. I actually do sometimes look at people who don't train, and look "average" with jealousy. There is a sense of innerpeace with self-acceptance, and they have it. They don't know what it's like to train, eat, rest properly, and you know what, they don't give a shit. "US" on the otherhand can look in the mirrors and write a book on shit we want to work on, and improvements we can make. I think it never ends sometimes, and maybe we are missing out on that contentment and innerpeace. Look @ Quadsweep, the fucker is built like a machine, but he is trying to reason with what he can do for improvement. If you want to dissect that bro, it's totally irrational in some ways. Just my thoughts when I look into things a little to deeply sometimes.
How often do guys like us at work, or in public get the old "Ya,
I need to get back in the gym one of these days" from the guy/gal who hasn't seen a pair of workout clothes since High School Phys-Ed class. You know what I tell them.... I say "Hey, You
are content with yourself and that says alot, working out isn't for
everyone, and you are just into other things".
Any vets identify with this, or do I need to go in for my 72 hour evaluation @ the Institute for Mental Health??
