Malibu-trim

Hi! I'm new to this board

I read the post below about the use of Usnic Acid, but what about this product, Malibu-trim? It has Usnic Acid in it, but I'm unsure how many mg are in it( i'm going to try to find out). What about taking this product in small doses ( maybe 2 pills a day with exercise and a simple diet) for about 3 to 4 weeks will it cause the effects of liver damage/cancer that you've said in the post below. Has anyone tried this product? Are these effects in the large doses of 1000mg etc. like in the pure Usnic Acid??

I just need something to help me lose the last 15 lbs. I don't want to take anything with ephedurine or large doses of caffeine in it. Any recommendations?

MalibuTRIM

That product ROCKS! Usnic Acid does not cause liver damage and because it is an uncoupler of oxidative phosphorlyation, it reduces DNA damage. If anything, the MalibuTRIM product that you are describing will prevent oxidative stress because of the combination of the uncoupling and the anti-oxidants that are in the product. I believe that there are 80 mg of usnic acid in each tablet. I would recommend that you take 8 pills a day, do some walking, and watch the fat leave your body. The stuff works, is safe, and should help you on your bodyfat loss quest!

MD's recommend it

Usnic Acid as an uncoupler of oxidative phosphorlyation is not harmful to your liver. The science behind the use of uncouplers strongly supports the use for weight loss, as well as treatment of cancer, lyme disease, and possibly HIV (much is being done in those fields in Switzerland, Germany, and now Italy). Oncologists in Georgia (just outside of Atlanta) are using usnic acid (the technique is called intracellular hyperthermia) in conjunction with chemotherapy to TREAT LIVER CANCER, and the results have been quite positive. The posters on this board that are claiming that usnic acid causes liver damage are doing people, especially people that are serious about losing weight, a disservice, and worse yet, are just repeating pseudo-science that is being babbled by other supposed experts.

Does usnic acid have some negative side effects? If you are doing intense aerobic activity, I would highly recommend that you hydrate yourself with fluids (drink water!) in order to prevent dehydration. However, for the majority of people, I would not worry too much about that.

Ephedra, guarana, and willow bark (the tripple stack) poses a much higher risk to your health than usnic acid. Also, drinking alcohol is much more potentially dangerous to your health than usnic acid!

Science Guy is correct in his analysis and defense of usinc acid.
