No it's just that pilot error is usually the cause, and two of the cases where it's pilot error, the pilots (and dead) are race car drivers.

Then it was just an interesting tidbit that Ertl was an F1 driver, I am sure most of us guys have put together models with his name on them. I don't think he designed the planes themselves though (?)
