Maintenance

Ive never posted on here, but I do read these message boards every day without fail, and thanks to you guys, great thanks go out to Pintoca, I have managed to get down from 204lbs to 161lbs, and I would imagine circa 12%ish bodyfat. Still a little bit of love handle when I wear my tighter swim shorts, but other than that I'm happy and therefore I am going to start coming to the end of my cutting diet and need to begin a maintenance phase (I am going to give the big cut another month, but keep the food 100% clean, no alcohol, no processed foods, no junk food...get down to about 154lbs) I would like to get bigger, and would love to put back on about half of what I've lost in lbm, but just not yet, I'm not at that stage in my life. (University student).

When I am on this maintenance diet, will I be allowed to divulge once every so often in crap? I am missing eating junk. But not to the stage where I need to eat crap, the pwo shake has more than satisfied ANY cravings that I have had and when Ive needed to divulge in half of a cookies and cream protein bar.

Please help me on the next stage, I dont want to give up all of this hard work.

BTW/

Weight = 161
Height = 6'0''
BF = 12-13%
Waist = 31"-32"
I'll post the rest as soon as I've been measured again tomorrow

Congrats on your sucess bro!!! this is what this board is all about.

As for maintenance, simply start adding 100 or so cals/day until you notice the weight is not moving anymore... that would be your maintenance level.

Given you keep your activity level (not planning on dropping the weights or cardio, right???)

and yes, you can enjoy the good thing in life every once in a while too, just don't over do it... and if you DO overdo it, simply fall back to a cutting diet for a week or so.

The key here is monitor weekly your weight. If you tend to gain weight easily, this is a job for life.

Thanks a lot! I get weighed once a week and measured once a month by some trainer, I gain and lose weight quite easily, probably the upside and downside of being an active teenager to be honest, but bloody hell the last so many months have been hard work!

Off to the gym now infact, gonna seriously train, had a seriously lazy day! Parents are on holidays and I've got the week off work, so i've been doing a lot of nothing apart from going to the gym. Bad news is i've been going everyday since a week last saturday, just to take my mind off being bored. Trying to change this up though, gonna get some spinning done.
