Mailbox question/police

I have another mailbox question. If you have had a home address compromised is it safe to open a mailbox at say MBE. Is it possible that the police have notified them to keep an eye out for your name address.

thanks

Anything is possible bro, but I seriously doubt it. The only way I would worry about that is if you are talking major quantities. Otherwise, dont sweat it.

MBE is a very suspicious place IMO. A lot of busts go down in MBE. I've seen 2 arrests at my MBE, as I was casually walking past by on 2 diferent occasions. IMO it is well prepared for transactions of this nature and has good (good may very well be an understatement) ties to the authorities.

Especially now, post 9/11, MB businesses are very sensitive places. I would be extremely careful. Might be a safer bet to go with a mom and pop MB rental. If you want to go through that route at all.

Mailbox Question

I agree that MBE is a bad idea. If you are dealing with receiving larger orders. I would rent out a peice of dirt cheap house and have it sent there. It would be worth the extra cash just for security. People in general are nosy fucks. When your mail is delivered to the MBE they have two maybe three employees who can touch your mail before you get it.
I realize dozens of Postal employees handle your mail before it arrives but they are less likely to give a shit because they have so much mail to deliver and a limited amount of time to get it done.
MBE employees have hours to sit around after they sort the day's mail and wonder: What you have in your box and how often you collect your mail. Why you have those kinds of boxes and why all the different addresses on them etc. etc.
In general we all bitch about the police busting this person or that one, But it is usually a citizen that is not an officer that gets the whole thing started.. Just my .02

I agree SORT OF. The fact that people are just too nosey for their own damn good is absolute truth brother! Thing is though, if the people who own the MBE are the ones working the Counter(and they usually are), then they aren't going to hassle your shit, because their buisiness depends on YOU as a Customer. Say for example, one of these nosey fucks gets too nosey and opens a Pax that contains some highly-valuable jewelry or something. Don't you think that the person who is receiving this Pax is going to notice that it has been tampered with? That is a serious offense to open Mail that isn't yours bro ya know?! For that reason(that they are the owners & wont risk possible legal reprocussions to satisfy simple curiosity), it probably doesn't happen too often. Another great thing about MBE(or whoever) is that you can litterally have as many addies as you could possibly want, at how many ever MBEs are available to you. That breaks up the monotany of the Pax frequency.

How compromised is your mailbox. If you have only had a siezure through customs, then you addy has really not been compromised. Is there a reason for you to believe that you addy is being watched???

there has been debate on this board about tracking-which is what your question is. On numerous occasions people have been asked and replied (either who work at USPS or board members who have worked for USPS) that they DO NOT TRACK and DO NOT monitor mail addresses. A package coming from Brazil or Portugal for instance that is intercepted at a certain addy is just as likely to make it through the second go round assuming packaging is the same ... they won't 'open it' for that reason alone. the exception is if you have 10 packages coming from The Ukraine to that addy in one or two days, that will be reported as suspicious activity ... but that is not a function of 'tracking.'

Hope that helps,
NFG

no sweat

they just have TOO DAMN MANY too take care of to be that specific bro.and lets just say a friend nows from personal experience that even if u get a customs letter at ur place, that dont mean another present aint showin up a few days later w/ some other goodies~! damn the man!

besides, like they said, unless ur dealin, and its just obviously personal supply i wouldnt worry, anything is possible true, but if theyd waste that much time/money/effort to bust just lil ole u or me for pers poss. i t hink that THEY might be more in trouble for wasting resources than us!lol
