Madden NFL 2003

Just picked it up at lunch along w/ the strategy guide..

Ive been so amped for football to start (real football, not this preseason garbage) that I had to pick this up..

From what I understand, with a linksys usb network card you can play madden 2003 and tony hawk online..

Looking at the guide, this game looks tight..

I'm thinking about grabbing this one too. I have every Madden since 97, and I love the game. Just don't have as much time to play as I used to.

Is the pc version out?

I wanna check this one out for the online play. I heard the pc version is ging to be much better the year than the last few years. They are spending more time on developing it this time, instead of just pushing out an inferior ps2 port.

I haven't checked on the PC version, but I'm sure the date's listed on easports.com.

I've never liked sports games on the PC, prefer the console version.

Yeah, for some reason the football games on the pc usually suck. Hockey and basball, on the other hand, are usually much superior to their console bretheren.

Well, at least they used to be.

Ive always liked sports better on a console.. PS2 has online play now and that makes the game worth the $$..

The PC version also has online play..
www.all-madden.net looks to be setting up tournaments for the PC version of madden.

I normally play the football games on the ps2 while football is still hot, once the playoffs and superbowl come around I dont play as much and the game gathers dust until the next season.

Yep, pretty handy, actually. Gives you scouting reports and strategies that will work within the game.

Real football strategy doesn't always apply.

Ive been excited for this one coming out for awhile, they had a special where the strategy guide was 10$ if you bought it with the game, so I figured why not?? I normally get schooled at these games anyway.

Plus, Im at work now and can read up on the game before I get to play it after work and the gym..

BTW, after some searching, I found out you can play madden 2003 online on your ps2 if you have a broadband connection and an ethernet-to-usb converter.

The usb port on the playstation is in the front under the controllers, plug the ethernet cable from your switch/router into the converter and you are connected..

The setup will be taken care of inside the game..

I need to get a converter and Ill be playin online soon hopefully..
