Didn't you say that you referree youth basketball league? How can you deal with the parents? My daughter had a game today and our parents were so obnoxious that I actually told some of them to be quiet, I was so embarrassed. They were women BTW, loud mothed stupid women. Screaming and yelling at the refs and threatening to report them. What idiots. After the game, I went and apoligized to the refs. These little girls wouldn't be able to play if not for these guys. They make mistakes like everyone else.What the hell is wrong with this goddamn site. It is taking fucking forever for this reply to go thru. I'm typing as I'm waiting. 2 minutes already. It can't be my computer, every other site is fast.

fortunately i ref in a building that i work in and pretty much am the head person when it comes to dealing with the kids... so if i really think parents are out of line, i tell the coaches to take care of it...

if the coaches do not i will do one of two things... and i've done them both... ONE TIME AND ONE TIME ONLY because the parents learn fast....

FIRST STEP... "excuse me, if y ou want to ref come down here and do it or sit down and be quiet"... that didnt work though... so i said "leave MY gym"... that resulted in mouthing off.. so i said teams go to your coaches..... and i told the person to read the parental rules sign... WE TEACH SPORTSMANSHIP... that was it, the parent complained to the director of the building and he was told to stay out of the gym until the next game...
