does it target quads or glutes?

To change up my leg workout I added some yesterday and let me tell you my ass is killing me.
 
it does glutes hammies and quads. i felt it the first time in the glutes too. they are a crucial exercise to the lower body. your sqaut will go up to. think about it, how often do you actually lunge?

depends on the form as msbev said. a longer stride or even a step up would be good for targetting glutes.

personally i dont like lunges, but if i had to do them, it would be walking lunges or reverse lunges only. the standard lunge in place, sucks.
 
The only lunge I ever did on a consistent basis were walking lunges. I always take a big stride and it really hits the glutes.
 
i currently do them basically every week after squats and leg presses. walking of course. i love them. i think they've helped in my hip flexibility, and like eat big said, your aquat will go up. oh yeah, ronnie does them too.
