Lumps at injection site

So what causes lumps at the injection site? My friend and I are shooting the same gear, in a few cases was from the same vial. He frequently gets lumps where he injects. It is not red or hot. In some cases, I'm pretty sure the gear contained EO but others I believe was GSO based, with no BB (Test E).

He is not new to gear, but hasn't done it in 8 years or so and doesn't remember ever having a reaction. I have never gotten a lump. We follow good hygiene - wash hands, wipe vials with alcohol pad, wipe injection site with alcohol pad, draw and shoot with separate needles.

Any ideas?

lumps are just the gear getting isolated a bit (sometimes between sheaths; sometime just particular place you pin or if you moved around while pinning causing internal trauma .

The only gear that ever gave me lumps was primo--even different brands (even the old good BD) would give me lumps the size of golf balls--the worst was a guy who made 200mg/ml primo--that was freakin crippling

How often are you injecting? And where are u injecting? how many ml at once?

I have had a 'soft' ester, cypionate, leave me lumpy due to being to hasty while pinning. Pin slowly, don't move the needle around while pinning and don't pin too many cc's at a time. Then again, I also have a buddy who gets lumps even when I inject him exactly how I inject myself. Some people are just prone to it.

Test E is usually the best compound to shoot so it is probably as Eddy said and isolated. If it continues then it is the BA content of the gear is to high and you have one or two choices. You can try and reheat the gear and burn the excess BA off or you can buy new. I would just buy new and be done with it.

This has happened with two UGL brands. One, T400 multi-ester was in EO and the other Test E with grapeseed, I believe.

I think he may just be prone to it. Currently cruising at a small dose, so about .4ml. He alternates between glutes and delts, one shot per week. Has had lumps in both.

Personally, I don't think its possible or practical to get rid of excess BA with heat as it has a high boiling point, and low vapor pressure.
