Is it the same thing as a nurse practioner?

Why do so many nurses have bad attitudes? Are they bitter that they aren't doctors or what?

A LPN is below a RN in the order of things in a hospital/doctor's office. A nurse practitioner can write prescriptions and such, they are closest to being a doctor.

LPN = licensed practical nurse. 1 year of training at college
LVN = licensed vocational nurse
RN = Registered nurse. associates or bachelors degree.
CNA = Shit job. 3 weeks of college training to wipe up shit and bathe the elderly
nurse practitioner = Masters degree

Most are probably mad that they are stuck in demanding jobs i guess.

If you're willing to move around the country and have a couple years experience you can make good money.

My brothers wifes friend has an Associates degree in nursing she got from community college, and she makes $32 an hour at a hospital.

I'm studying for nursing right now. I'm worried about ending up defeated & bitter like many of them do. If it ever gets to that point hopefully i'll go back to college & study something else.



Anyway, an LPN is kindof an associates degree (about 50 credit hours) so its better than fast food. Pay is around $15 an hour starting.

If you guys are upset with whats her name, thats your right. Bashing around her profession seems kind of "below the belt" to me. Pecking orders are overated anyways. Good nurses deserve more respect than asshole doctors.
