I've been testing out PWO carbs while on palumbo keto diet. So far, I must say I am happy with it.
I switched from a CKD to basically a palumbo TKD. My fat loss seems to be about the same as it was on CKD... But there are some huge differences.
1) When I am on a CKD... The day of my carb up I look good, the day after I look okay... But after that I start to look really flat.
2) I'm not able to put on any LBM while on CKD.
On the other hand, with the TKD I never look flat... My muscles are always full. I stay in ketosis. About 2 hours after my PWO shake I am still pissing trace ketones.... By that night I am pissing small or moderate ketones... Which is a good thing.
Plus I have increased LBM and strength over the past 2 weeks since switching to the TKD. And I am down 4lbs of fat mass.
As opposed to my average of a 2.5lbs loss while on CKD per week. Maybe the CKD might be a little more effective, but just by a hair.
I'd rather look full, still have capability of gaining LBM, and lose close to the same amount of fat mass.
Just something to think about that has been working for me pretty well.
