Low carb deserts & drinks???

GreyGoose with mucho olives.

I agree w/ innocent, red bull sugar free and vodka, cant beat it. I also like the diet vanilla coke but I heard that the sweetners in the diet soda's slow down your metabolism or something like that... anyone else hear something similar????

Yeah.....they're good but are a little high in fat, most of the low carb desserts make up for taste w/ added fats. Try Edy's no sugar added! mmmmmmm good! :p

i posted some info on drinks on my yummy thread

but my faves are as chefwide suggested
grey goose vodka martini

but some times i do a nice aged whisky ( i prefer irish), same amount of water and two ice cubes

sometimes i am just lazy and pour 3 ounces of vodka into a tumbler with a whole tray of ice and fill the rest of it with water
not bad...vodka actually gives it an almost sweet flavour add lime or lemon if you wish

Heard you can make a low carb Root Beer float with
2-3 tbsp Heavy Cream
Can of Diet Root Beer
Ice

(Mix ingredients in blender, serve cold)

On the alcoholic tip, I'm drinkin some bourbon and "carb conscious" Finest Call Sweet & Sour mix from Wal-Mart. The kind with carbs is WAYYY better. I'd be better off makin whiskey sours with lemon juice or something than this crap.

I enjoyed some Diet Tonic tonite with Vodka & Lime.... ohhhh man...

Desserts: there are recipes for flour-less chocolate tortes.... but most desserts have sugar.....so it's a trade...
