low carb ain't so hard

I've been dropping carbs out of my diet each week and replacing them with CLA caps, Fish Oil caps, and Udo's Choice.
So far I haven't seen much drop in energy, and only *slightly* more mentally retarded (my usual reason for not liking the low carb). The extra fats seem to help a bit.
I'm just going slow and easy so far - but I'm also not very low on the carbs yet :)
I'm still up around 200 now. Next week I'll cut down to 100.

The hardest for me, and I don't think I can get rid of it, is the milk.
I love milk - so I've gotten around that by taking 1200mg of ALA every time I have any milk (which is usually 24oz at a time).

This is only the 3rd week of doing this, and lunch is really the only thing that is hurting me right now - I go out with coworkers. Next week I'll start bringing in omlettes for lunch and that should get rid of the 100g of carbs everyday.

Once I cut out the lunch carbs (I will use a little bit of salsa with the omlettes, so that is a bit of carbs there), then pretty much all of my carbs will come from the milk and then fruit and veggies that I eat (one apple, one banana, and a cup or two of broccoli).

In my 3rd week I'm already seeing a pretty good cut in fat, but nothing crazy - just seeing the top abs and intercostals much more cleanly, and all of my back.
The only place I have fat right now is the lower abs and a bit on the sides.

Also, with all the extra fat now, I'm seeing my skin improve greatly. so that is nice.

Anyway - just felt like writing that.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to cut out milk, I'm all ears. I really crave that and only that at this point. In two weeks I might try cutting out the milk every other day and seeing how that feels.

I feel pretty.

DNP is easier.

LOL
I don't know, I've used DNP before and the sides on that are a bit extreme. Not to mention that I can go about my daily life and not have people ask me what is wrong if I'm on a low carb diet, and I can do it for a long time, and nothing is wrong with it. also, a low carb diet doesn't make me retain water.

DNP on the other hand makes me want to sleep all the time. I feel sick, I sweat through all my clothes. I stain things yellow.
and the WORST part is that it makes me depressed and that lasts a bit of time until it clears out of my system and then everything has to stablize. it prevents the converstion of tryptophan to serotonin, and generally speaking fucking, with serotonin is a bad thing to do.

I can't even really say that I lost a ton of fat on it. you see weight loss for sure, but you can't work out for shit while on it, and it is hard to say if all the weight you lose is really fat.
actually, it is VERY easy to say that it is all fat - but to actually back that up is harder.

when it is all said and done, until I have the sort of lifestyle where I can not leave my apartment for 2 weeks and just sleep the whole time and recover from the ordeal, then I'm not going to do any dnp again.

I avoid soy at all costs.

I don't like the studies that show the human body confusing the soy protein with estrogen.
I have had a few girlfriends start to use soy and see enough results that backed that up, and the studies that are out...

it is enough that I personally am going to avoid it.

if something says it has soy protein in it, I just throw it out or give it to my girlfriend.

there were studies posted on diet showing the reduction in test was negligable in men when soya was consumed. i believe anthrax and MS ones up and posted them on a thread by THE BOUNCER to counter a t-mag article he posted

DNP is still better. I'll burn off my left boob with dnp before you can even lose an ounce.

yeah, there are studies that show it, and studies that show those studies are wrong - much like any study I guess :)

all I'm saying is, if I didn't see the stuff in women and in men that I see when I know they use a lot of soy, then I'd be all over it.
but I do, so I avoid it.

I could be wrong on it, that's cool, but I personally don't want to touch the stuff.

but the study anthrax and MS posted tore holes into the research previously done, saying it was flawed. comparing the 2 articles, the t-mag one came of as inferior

what do u see in men that use a lot of soy :worried: i drink a litre of it a day when cutting....

I see you haven't gotten any smarter!

Good work HS. I was doing it for a few weeks, but fell off. I hae been dropping some fat with a so-so diet due to the ALA.
