OK, as if the stereo and tv weren't bad enough, tonight I'm sitting down to enjoy some Laker ball when I hear "bam" "bam" bam" on the door downstairs. I go out in the hallway to tell them to shut the fuck up only I see two cops in front of the door. They started asking me a bunch of questions about the guy. I haven't actually seen this person, just heard his noise. But I've seen at least a dozen different people going in and out of the place. The cops asked me if I knew what kind of car he drove and whether the building had a back door. I asked what was going on and he said "he's not in trouble or anything, we just need to serve him some papers". I'm not sure if I buy that story. What kind of papers are served at 10:30 at night with cops pounding on your door with nightsticks? Why did they want to know what kind of car he drives?

I really think something is not right about this neighbor. If the cops were really just trying to serve him papers, then what could it be? A restraining order? I guess if it was something too serious the cops would have just broke the door down. I'm just wondering if I'm sharing a building with a criminal.

Exactly! If there are people going in and out of his place a lot, he is most likely dealin' something. Or maybe he's a really sociable person. What kind of music is he usually pumpin? Is it house with a strong strait beat?

Had the same problem - trash lived all around us in an apartment. They are probably selling drugs. How many apt complexes can you, wait, how many doors can you walk by at any given apt complex without smelling the lingering odor of bonghits?

The fuckers aboved us are unparalleled in noise, i think throughout the day they probably switched between inviting their friends over for pogo stick and potato sack races, then at night, they would have rapping competitions that you could hear EVERYTHING downstairs, "beats", what they were saying, it was like being in 8 mile except it sucked more.

Turned out they sold both drugs and stolen video games. plus they excessively drank to the point of staying up til 5am and screaming (ha ha ha how funny!)

My point being - call the cops. Obviously they were already there, let them though these people are loud and disturbing, preferably call before/during a party where they are loud as shit and smoking doja.

I had a talk with the landlord. Apparently the guy is going through a divorce. Maybe the cop was there for divorce papers? If so, the cop was out of line for beating the hell out of the door and shaking the whole building. That's what made me think something more serious was up. I wouldn't think cops would get rough with the door over divorce papers.

You guys sound like some old bitties. I've lived in my share of annoying ass apartment buildings. The key is to always have an apartment on the end of the building. Then you only have one neighbor, and your bong smoke won't bother anyone cuz hardly anyone will walk past.

in SB my community is nice as hell... unfortunately.. the HOA is far more nazi than hitler. Fking got served with 5 noise vios in 5 days once... get this.. from the goddamn surround sound system. In stead of coming to my door and telling me my sub could be heard "50 feet" away... they just kept racking up the noise vios.. they decided that after I owed for 5 of them, they'd actually tell me about em..
