Arnold was the man in his time, lou was a good man as well....but i think that cutler has the next Mr.O but thats my 2 cc's

i don't believe cutler is doing the olympia this year. ronnie was way off this past olympia, and cutler was almost perfect. for those who actully compete in bb shows and attend shows would know that if ronnie is on, he is unbeatableliquidmuscle said:

Well cutler forgot how joe weider plays his sick little game, he always lets the current champ have one more olympia before the shandow is passed look at sergio in 1969 arnold was in better shape ,look at 1991 haney won but dorian was in much better shape i belive 2002 is cutler year but by pulling out he might anger weider and maybe never get his place in olympia history. joe weider is a sick manipulating man.

I also noticed that the older guys stats were totally opposite of todays pro's. They got bigger at contest time & shrank in the off season. As opposed to these guys getting huge & meaty then cutting down.

I see a few haters here. To the one's saying Arnold, Lou and Columbu were shit, and small; How many Olympia's or Universe titles did you win?! That was the 70s. You can't compare guys from then, to the guys from today. It was a different time. It is often refered to the Golden era, and for a very good reason. Those guys looked healthy, and fit. They certainly weren't lacking in size either. In my own opinion, they looked better back then. The tree trunk legs of today make these guys look like they can do nothing but pose. And to the ones who praise Ronnie, thats just nuts. He is just a block of muscle. He looks like he might die any day now. I admire what he has accomplished, but he is not the best. These contest aren't about who is the best, they never were. In my own opinion, Flex Wheeler should have been Mr. O a long time ago. Now he has incredible genetics.
To the original poster, Lou was a big man in the 70's. 6'5, 275. When he made his comback in the early 90s, he was 320 (in contest shape). Not exactly a small guy by any means.
And as for the movie, yes they are making one. As someone has already mentioned, they are using Lee Priest as the cgi model. Louie will have a cameo in it. I feel the whole process of using cgi for the Hulk might make it look fake, and cheesy. But we will find out!

Gunter was going to be the one to do it, but, they liked the overal body composition of Lee. It gives more detail in the Flex article.

He went from 275 at 6'5" and maybe what 7% bodyfat, thats probaly what they competed at in the 70's.
To 320 and 4% bodyfat.
And the killer is he was already big enough at 275 and 6'5". Hell just be tall makes him wider than somebody 5'8" anyway, let alone adding muscle.

One thing we have to realize, is in Arnies and Lous day...they didnt have hgh, igf, or even primo or winny! It was usually test and d bol!!! those guys achieved that look on barbaric cycles, and they over trained, and no idea of diet knowledge of today...put Arnie in a time machine back in the 70's bring him to present time, give him the drugs, knowledge etc...of today, can you imagine????

I remember after the hulk series ended Lou sort of disappeared from the media and started promoting his own suups. Then he reappeared and said he would compete in the Masters division(cant remember the comp) over 300lbs shredded and he looked the best of his career over 40 and on the cover of MM
whoever said they didnt have gh back then and didnt use it is full of shit...............arnold and franco use to have growth hormone sucked from the bodies of kadavirs and injected into their bodies, how you think they got that huge gap in their mouth, and I already see it coming, guys on here say he never did that blah blah blah............but if you were true bb buffs you would have already known this.

Capn, the only one who ever came close to a body like Arnolds, was Roland Kickenger. He looked almost like Arnies twin. He didn't do well in shows however. Espn once rated him the must underrated athlete of the year. He is now on a show called Son of the Beach. You should look up some pics of him. You would be amazed at how alike their bodies are, even the face a lil bit.

Serge Nubret had the most balanced upperbody. If his legs and calves were slightly larger he would have been unbeatable.
