Lost my job....

I lost my job, now i am trying to make something happen.

I have been pondering a clothing company geared tword meat heads. I will also be making lifting straps/wraps, gym bags and possible lifting shoes. Then depending on how well i do taking the name and starting a powerlifting gym along side of it.

I have the resources to start the company just seeing if it would be worth it. I have had this idea for some time but never persued it.

Great! Go for it, as long as it is something you are really interested in and love. In order to succeed

(1) you have to love the business
(2) you have to become an expert in your business field
(3) you have to take a lot of action and make things happen
(4) start small and don't spend too much money in the beginning. You won't have good judgment or understanding of your business field until you get experience, so you need to operate cheaply while you make mistakes and learn the ropes.
(5) Find a way in which you can get some kind of competitive advantage over most of your competitors. This will give customers a reason to buy from you. Look for needs that aren't being addressed or are under-exploited.
(6) strive for excellence. Most people are not good at what they do, so just being very excellent is one competitive advantage you can have.
