Lost in Translation - Bill Murray

See now, Bill Murray was excellent. I think he found a role that showed him acting for perhaps the first time.

I found the leading girl the most annoying character / actress ever. I am actually going to avoid movies with her in it in the future.

The story was mostly crap and the direction was mostly crap. I think she took this approach feeling that relaxed depression and self reflection were going to gloss over huge holes in the story and unexplained connections.

Wow you are quick - that is two completely different things, that's probably why I noted them both. I did not like either.

The "leading girl" is not a character, she is an actress. If you want to be a smartass your sentence was so poorly constructed its meaning was unclear.

And it sounds like you dislike the character she was playing not her acting skills. She may have been doing exactly what Coppola was telling her to do.

The "leading girl" is not a character, she is an actress.
