losing weight?

C'mon dude. Do some research. This question just shows you're not even close to being ready to take this step. Why do you want to take orals over injectables? Is it because you think they're safer? Not the case! DIET is what makes you lose fat and get cut. DIET, DIET, DIET. What is your current bodyfat %? What is your goal% If you want help on this site you need to be specific in your training program, diet and current condition. That way you will sound like you've thought out your question and are really seeking advice.

If you want to read a good book on the basics of weight control, read the ebook
BFFM, by Tom Venuto www.fitren.com. I found it inspiring and revealing of the whole nutritional process. Very good read!

lol... lay of the roids dude you trippin over nothin i have done my research and i do kno wim asking for suggestions you know somehting else to read about stop yellin lil guy..lol

Tom Venuto book is good? I've read alot and seen many different plans to lose weight so I don't want to buy something to just re-read what I alrdy know. Is there anything original in it?

I dont understand what your asking or saying??????

losing weight is all about diet and cardio! If your already lean and looking for precontest edge you would already know what to take. There is no magic (healthy) bullet for losing weight. Nothing will get you lean like smart dieting and hard cardio. You can juice to keep some muscle while you lose weight, but typically gaining muscle (total weight) and losing fat are contradictory to each other. If yo know that already, check out T3, DNP, ECA etc... I would never mess with thyroid medication, far to dangerous for my style!

I know how to lose weight. I was just wondering if there is any good new ideas in the book. I don't want to buy the book just to see the same old shit you can see anywhere.

I thought Venuto's book was great. I would consider myself a layman however.

It really gave you a no BS method to losing BF. He basically mocks all the diets and teaches you the reality of eating correctly, insulin, timing, macro nutrient ratios for body types. How suppliments are a waste of $$$. He also gets into goal setting and charting your progress as well. Originally the whole goal setting crap turned me off (Im pretty cynical) but I followed his advice and charted my LBM,and BF and it has made a big difference for me. In 4 months I have done the following.

226lbs,24% bf, total fat 54 lbs, 172 LBM
down to, 216, 14.8% bf, 32 fat lbs, 184 LBM

of note: I had to get used the calipers, so my original measurements are suspect.

I also did a 12 week boldenone cycle in the middle.

The book has changed my life to some extent. I feel wonderful and my wife loves the way I look.

I have another 4% bodyfat to go for my 1 year goal. 6% for my ultimate goal!

I post my stats next to my bathroom mirror and look at my goals daily, as well as imaging my self with the body I desire.

I normally hate that flakey crap, but it seems to work for me.

I re read it occasionally for inspiration and to touch up on my nutrional knowledge. You know its the real deal, because there is no bullshit, he tales you the reality of being thin and the work it takes. There are no shortcuts or secrets. I really recommend it!

I dont know, its the only diet book I have ever read.

It really shuns the idea of calling it a diet. It's just simply how to eat for life, focusing on LBM for calorie loss. The idea is to keep your LBM up. IF your can keep your LBM up it will keep your BMR up. While having a slight calorie deficit (100-500) cals and aerobics, you can burn the fat and feed the muscle (BFFM). This works progressively, and it gets easier as you gain LBM. It also goes into, carbohydrate tapering and zig-zags. Macro nutrient ratio's are based on your basic body type. I consider myself and Endo/Meso, My ratios are 50/30/20 and my BMR in 3600 cals per day. I eat around 3000 cals and hit the cardio 5 days a week. He provides a ton of reference and newsletters monthly as well. Losing weight is not that complicated. But you need to read your BF% ratios and weigh those against your LBM to make sure your not losing LBM, which is bad for your BMR. Weighing yourself is only used to determine LBM. It's all about BF%
