Looking for honest advice

Hello all -

This is my first time posting on this board, though I have lurked for quite some time. I'm looking for brutally honest comments on my physique. I'd like to compete in figure of BB, but I am not tying myself to either until I see how my body develops. I don't intend to compete until 2007 or so...no time soon, to say the least. I'm attaching a link with my most recent photos. Unfortunately, I do not know my bodyfat %. I am 5'7'' and 151 lbs at last weight in.

Please rip these photos apart. :D I do appreciate the honesty. They are not great quality...the room was dark and I had to use the flash. Anyway...

I'll leave the advice to the pros. I'm still learning myself. Just wanted to say HI. You look Awesome.

You have a good base to start with.

What kind of advice are you looking for?

Thanks.

I want to know what obviously needs work. My biceps won't grow...I know that they are not even close to the rest of my body. I'm also curious of what you ladies think in regards to competing in figure...will I be too big? Is my body type better suited for BB?

FBC, post-up your program for the experienced members to review (and your diet, if you don't mind).

I went to my first Figure/BB show in ATL in May. I was surprised by the build of some of the amatuer members. The women were lean (low bf%) and tight, but they had some "curves" to them (especially in the lower body). Maybe it depends on the region, I don't know.

Hi & Welcome. Sorry no advice from me, but you did come to the right place. Stick around someone will be come along and help ya out.

my opinion... I think you can do it in Figure, you are on the right track, you got nice shape which can be improved with proper workouts and diet

more specifically I would say :
1/ you need more in your arms (biceps and triceps)
2/ need to round your delts
3/ need more work in your back

other than that, it would be a good idea to have a picture of your legs.. from the ones in your page it is difficult to assess what needs work in your lower body.

maybe you can put the camera still on a place to point and shoot with a timer because the flash doesn't let us see the shape in some of the pics.

Do you have any local shows where you live?? Could you maybe find out who trains some of the people in them??

What I did was contact the promoter of my local shows & he put me in touch with a trainer who assessed me physically & I've since hired him & we have a plan to compete. The first meeting didn't really cost me anything & he told me what he thought he could do in the 1st & 2nd meetings.....maybe you could try that??

Otherwise, with your goal to compete in the future, try doing Shadow's Project to start out with. A lot of the ladies here have had great success with it....then after doing that program, re-evaluate where you are.

And welcome to EF!! :rose:
