looking for a new car....what do you suggest?

looking for a four door sedan. the most important thing is reliability. what i have now is a 300M, and im very disappointed in it. its four years old and has had too many problems. the latest is the transmission control module. 900$.

so anyways whats the best deal out there for around 30k tops. so anything under that. even if its a honda accord.
 
A BMW Cooper. Those things are cool. Fast as hell too for a small car and gets about 38mpg.
 
I just bought my mom a Volkswagen Passat..2006....they finally did away with the old VW rattle.

Audi built the 2006 version and the car rocks. It's like an A4 but with the VW drive control. She was going to buy a Toyota Camery that was loaded and she got more options in her Passat than in the loaded Camery.

Take one for a ride to see the changes....
 
I like my Acura TSX for under 30 k. 26k without NAVI, 29 with NAVI. drives/handles great and has every option under the sun standard. you wont have any engine troubles..ever.

THe new LEXUS IS that just is hitting dealerships now is sick in person. take a test drive.

some Audis/BMW's are very nice..but dont be suprised to run into engine/transmission issues at one point.


if you want reliability with almost zero engine problems. go JAP. Honda/Acura or Toyota/Lexus

for reliability the accord is your best bet

The A4 and Passat have always shared platforms, going back to the Audi 80 and VW Dasher in the 1970s.
 
if you really want to save money and get your money's worth - i'd say get a scion TC.

i have 3 different friends that have bought TC's and i have test driven it. Fast, comfortable, reliable (made from toyota). most of all it's CHEAP. you wont pay much and you can spend that extra 10-15 K of your budget on other stuff. :)

I bet most people don't know those are made in Mexico along with the Lincoln Zeypher.

I would get a Honda or an Acura, Toyota or Lexus. American cars are not known for reliability.
 
ok so i might check out the acura, lexus and passat. maybe the camery.

one thing i will say about the 300M is the roominess. you cant beat it. im 6'1" and the back seat was plenty of headroom. when i sat in the camery my head was hitting the ceiling.
 
I have an '88 Blazer, its two tone (off white and rust), 230,000 miles on it, the rearview mirror fell off, the tail lights don't work, the seat belt on the drivers side doesn't work, the front of it is dented due to hitting a deer at about 60 MPH, the headliner is falling down, it has holes in the roof because it used to be a mail truck, ladies try not to blow up my PM box trying to get ahold of me. I am single, but I don't want a Gold digger (go ahead get down go ahead get down).

2006 Lincoln Zephyr

look at the residals bro from the quest vs odyssey or the accord vs maxima etc etc....honda > higher resiudal then nissan ....

also fit and finish on a honda is way better as well

but as for american cars i want one more then anything (2005-06 stang convertible ) rear wheel drive fun factor ...

The Milan, Zephyr, and the Fusion are completley made in MEXICO. So you are actullay funding their economy.

lol at comparing the Accord and the Maxima. Maxima kills the Accord across the board. Not even the same class.

Operations in Mexico are part of the Ford Motor Company's North American Operations, as is Canadian operations.

You are correct that the Mexican people (and Canadian people) enjoy the benefits of the jobs created in our plants there.

However, all profits from these operations come back to the parent Company in the USA and are federally taxed accordingly.

Profits from the sale of Japanese vehicles sold here goes back to Japan for taxation there. 60% of all profits come from their North American operations. These taxes fund their very generous health and retirement system.

This country is losing the US automotive industry as we lost steel, textiles, machining, electronics and furniture.

Actually, in the most recent rankings, Nissan is in top place for resale value. It was just in the news this week.

Those cars are built on the Mazda 6 platform.
 
Maximas are ghetto...hehe. Seems like they try TOO hard...go for the accord if you want to drive it in to the ground...

What are those pretty little charts supposed to prove exactly? That the Maxima is more expensive? Obviously. It's a higher class and better car. Repairs over 5 years are identical and maintenance on the Maxima is slightly higher since it's a more expensive vehicle.

Anyway. In terms of engine, performance, styling etc. etc. etc. Maxima blows the Accord away. They're not even in the same class bor. The Accord is more comparable to the Altima.

I've owned 3 Maximas and two Accords.
 
sponge i can't see you in some ricer mobile...you are to old to be hanging in 7-11 parking lots with dunk and njjuice bragging about your tricked out 92 acura.
