Looking at a condo tomorrow..

Lestat

MVP
EF VIP
300,000.00
831 sq ft
2 bed/2 bath
condo.

I'm surprised you can get two BR's in 831 sq ft. My last two BR was 1100.

How do you fit 2br/2bath into 800 square feet? :worried:

bedrooms are both 12x13
dining room is 7x9
living room is 12x12
kitchen is 8x8

that about does it!

There's a balcony too.

not really.

So your place is well below a dump?

Sounds like a solid investment.

Looks like a pimp pad man... i'd die for that type of space.. that'd cost me at least 550K here.

Well, at least you will building equity in a place, instead of throwing money away renting.

That's just over 400sq - are the bathrooms and closets large?

I love real estate shopping with people.

how can that be just over 400sq ft if the bedrooms alone total 312?

even sub-par-dumps gain 1-2% equity a month around here.

Er - I missed a bedroom.
That still leaves you with roughly 585sq.
the rest is likely the entryway and closets i suppose.. who knows, its small is the point.

If it's an apt type condo they're probably counting hallways as living space.

The more space you have the more furnitute you need and the more cleaning that needs to be done. I used to live in loft about the same size as your condo.

It was perfect in size - all it lacked was good parking for my car

Hey Velvy, how did the haircut turn out?????? :)

Since it's Cali, I suppose this price is normal. Here I'd just say it's overpriced. In what part of the city is the condo located ? Poor ? rich ? middle class ?

Oh awesome.

Bangs, just past the shoulders, very layered.

Thanks for asking (and helping)

That is awesome!! I am sure you look even cuter than before...if that is possible... ;)

SD is pretty expensive.

I helped someone with a house in El Rancho and they paid just over million and it's a 2 bedroom 1800sqft house.

Some Cali prices are as insane as some NY prices.

Imagine if salaries met up with the cost of real estate.

I couldn't imagine living in only 800 square feet.

I have 2500 sq.ft. and I am about to go nuts because I'm running out of room.

I guess you learn to adapt.

Awesome price for SD!!! I was living in LA for a year and it cost me $3100 in a 830 sq ft apt!!!! Floor plans look good---if it is a nice area---do it....Wait a while and sell it for $450,000 in a year or two....!!! Good Luck---Maybe you could have Daisy Girl visit you in your new condo!!??? :p

how the hell do some of you folks pay for $3000/month mortgages??? I assume your'e all drug dealers. Most people can't even afford to go out, let alone have big ass house payments!

Sometimes with condos, the maintenance fees get you. Watch out. Do you know what they are?

137 a month.. included water, sewer, and general maintinence.

That`s great! Sometimes you get "added" expenses but hopefully it`s an owner occupied building. If it`s mostly rentals, the property is`nt as respected as if it were your own.

Sounds good. Good luck with your decision. It`s not only the money, once you buy it, it`s a different state of mind owning your own place, I just got my first home a few years ago and I love it.

Update...

saw the place.. loved it....

they had multiple offers, mine wasn't even close even though it was above asking price.
