pre season rankings mean nothing, pretty obvious oklahoma wasnt the 7th ranked team in the country
it takes a few weeks minimum of playing to figure out who is a contender and who is a pretenter
i dont think auburn was even ranked last year at the start of the season and ended up 2nd, and i still believe they were the best team in the country

yeah they always have one of the toughest schedules every year
if they would ever join a conference it would help their schedule be easier, but i dont think they want to share $$$$ with other teams in a conference
