Long test cycle users

For those that do long test cycles, i'm talking 20 weeks or more...do you still find that you gain all the way through?? I found the thread about long test cycles a couple of days ago very interesting. Don't gains usually cease around 8-10 weeks?

Ok..but say i want to run a 20 week cycle..do i need to increase my doses or can i just stay at a steady dose? Also what kind of post cycle recovery are we talking about here?

Post cycle recovery. That is where the trick comes in. The pros have completely given up on having anytype of natural hormone levels. So the longer you run your cycles the closer you are coming to the same thing.

You really have to decide what is important to you and which ever it is - go for it.

Well I have no doubt that running test for 20 weeks would shut me down greatly, however i just can't believe that its impossible to recover from. Some "normal" cycles are 12-15 weeks... Hmm I'm looking at running test 1000mg front load 500-750mg after.

I wouldn't recommend going longer than 12 weeks or so on test. just my opinion though

I am not saying that recovery is impossible at 20 weeks, I am only saying that the longer you go the harder it will be and the longer it will take to recover.

Obviously, from a 2-3 week cycle - recovery will be extemely quick - the longer you go the longer the recovery process will be until one day you reach a point of no return.

I've been on for over 20 months now, so that's 100 weeks, and I'm still gaining. What has become obvious to me is that gains stop because of other functons of your body, not because of the need to up the dose. I've been at a gram per week and at this point average about 1/2 pound a week, so around 2 pounds per month. I don't attribute this to the need to up my dose, but rather to the fact that I'm already 260 pounds. My metabolism has sped up so much that it is now very hard to out eat it....economically and physically. Most people gains stop at 10 weeks or whatever because they don't change anything as far as diet, training, and recovery that they had in place at the begining of thier cycle. It becomes more and more important to have constant variety as you progress with your gains. The bigger you get the more you have to eat, but most people don't increase thier food intake incrimentaly throughout thier cycles, nor do they alter thier training. Also, the more muscle you acumulate the more rest you need. I need a nap or two every day along wiht 8-9 hours per night to fully recover. Bear in mind that carrying a lot of muscle is physically and nuerologically demanding in itself. Trying to gain even more on top of that stress is very demanding of the body. I see no need for you not to be able to gain for 20 weeks. It will slow down as you grow, and at that point you will have to get creative and even more dedicated about continuing growth. A lot of people give up when they see the scale or measurements stop moving. Refuse to give up and you'll grow.

Well looks like I'll be setting up my big test cycle then..for the person who said 500mg should yield decent gains..well i'll be frontloading with 1000..I don't feel this will be a bad one

Damn beezers, thats nuts. Really interesting points though, I can see how eating and resting would get exponentially harder. Have you added anything to the mix (besides the test) along the way?
Has the whole 20 monthes been bulking or have you cut some too? How's the bf %? Arimidex or fermara? HCG? Sorry about all the questions, I just find you're approach very interesting. I want to know more, doing you compete or just do it for yourself? What type of test too.

Mostly bulking. I did cut for eight weeks not too long ago, just because I was so stagnagnt and my joints needed a rest form heavy weights. My bodyfat hovers between 10-11%. I have a decent metabolism, but I attribute my hint of abs to always eating clean. No armidex, no femara, no nolva, no nothing else....Just good ole testosterone at a gram per week. I'm not prone to sides and do have bllod work done twice yearly by my endocrinologist. My test of choice is Primoteston, though I've used sust as well during this time. I compete, though not nearly as regularly as I should. I'm working on getting as big as possible now and doing a show now would cut a good six months out of that quest, so I'm putting at leat the next two years into mass.

Anyway. The thing about always being on is that to keep up the gains you have to outguess your body's next move. You always have to be changing things around and you have to make a lot of sacrifices to make it work. It takes a lot of eating and sleeping to keep the body growing...That's what most people don't realize I think.
