long term deca use side effects

I use Deca to take care of my joint pain.
How long can I take it safely?

if used for more then a cuople of months it can permanently sterilize u, if thats is not your concern than its fine for longer period of time.

i have stayed on for 10 weeks with no visable side effect and that is at a dose of 1 gram a week. hope that helps a little bit.

shuts down hpta, and its possible for the testes to not start back up, i dunno how common or accurate that is though

when i was around 17 i stayed on for over six months. strangely I had no bad sides, i gained over 60 lbs, and did not crash when i came off. i was on 400 mg of brovel deca per week.

Bro, I don't mean this in a flame sort of way but please reveal your age. If you're young, like in your 20's, then the following might be interesting to you...

Say you meet a beautiful woman in a few years or even next year. You become serious and you both find that you will be together forever. She wants children but you cannot because you didn't want to come off of Deca occaisionally to let your body normalize. That would suck, believe me.

I love deca, and I'd love to stay on it indefinitely, but I'll be damned if I'm going to risk my long term health just to stay on indefinitely. Just come off when you're supposed to, get your body normalized and then go back on. Now that, you can do indefinitely.

I appreciate your comments along with everyone else's.

BUT, I could say the same thing about having kids, i.e. ==> don't have kids because there is a 50% chance you will be divorced afterwards and you heart will be ripped in two when you can't see your own child. It happened to my best friend. <==
But when you have kids you are not thinking about the negative possibilities of tomorrow... just like when I use Deca.


Have no fear, I am 33 years old, I've been married twice and no kids. Quite possibly I am already sterile and just don't know it for sure.

I totally agree, guys in their 20's don't know what the future will hold. Hell, even at 33 I could change my mind... BUT I don't think I would be devistated if I could never have them because of natural causes of because of steriod use.


The joint pain without the deca is nearly unbearable if I lift heavy.
The thought of never having kids after 33 years is not that unbearable.

last summer for my first cycle i used brovel.

this summer i'm using tornel. both are about the same.

I hear what you are saying, a lot of teens don't think past getting laid tonight... those were the good ole days eh?

kids would be nice, but has never been a priority above all my other priorities.

Deca rules, I love what it does for my pain. Now, I just need to eat more.
