I have been training for 11 years off and on. I am 31 years old and 252 lbs. I have been off for roughly 10 months. I usually get back into training and am "on" in 2 months. My wife wanted another baby and I had a low test count. The DOC put me on CYTOMEL for 5-6 months and I didn't notice anything. No wieght changes, nothing? Well now am at a point in my life where I really want to look good again for personal reasons and am having a problem.

I am back training again and hitting it hard. I am eating
7 am 6- egg whites
9-10 am protein shake whey
noon 2 chix breasts/plain salad - no dressing
3 pm protein shake
6 pm chix breasts or lean steak/ plain salad - no dressing
9 pm protein shake

Supps include
L-Glut
Whey protien
SYNEDREX
and I just started today using vanadyl and L-carnitine again.

O.K. here is the problem.

I have been back training for 2 months(roughly) and have been using this diet. Well I have gained 7 pounds? I don't get it, I look like the blimp! I look worst then before I started back up! I am not gaining good wieght and I don't even want to gain anymore! Is this Cytomel thing is what F***** me up? I am so used to walking in a gym, training for a couple of months and looking pretty good. Right now I look like SH*T! If gear(GH) is what I need, then so be it. But, if it is what the DOC did, then that is another issue? Please any ideas, help or whatever? Thanks for helping

I can't address the cytomel concern, but is it possible that in getting back into the gym, you are more conscious of your physique and being overly critical? I don't see how, with that diet, you'd be getting fatter. I don't know what your cardio looks like, but you should probably be doing some 4x a week at a half hour.

I don't know too much about anabolics - but I know that cytomel is a damn powerful thryoid (T3) hormone - and that it raises your metabolic rate significantly

It's possible that your thyroid is out of whack....and it merely needs some time to readjust itself to functioning normally....

....how long has it been since you've stopped taking the cytomel?? What was the dosage that you were on??

You might also want to post this question on the anabolics board - because you'll be more likely to find people with past experience taking the stuff....good luck to you....

I am doing cardio 4x a week for 20 minutes on the stationary bike.
I don't remember what the doses of Cytomel were? 1 pill a day. Thanks and I will check out the anabolic board. I have been off the Cytomel for 2 months.

I was thinking of replacing a shake with a can of tuna here and there. I was thinking of what an old BB told me 1 time," shakes are pretty much a waste, they go right through you and you get very little from them". I was thinking they would help me loose wieght, not staying with me for long, but that ain't happenin'. Thanks for the reply.

"Why'd the doc put you on T3 for a low test count?"

Like FHG said, what's this all about?? Either there is something else going on with ya, or your DOC is not being straight with ya. I suggest you get a second and third opinion and then get back to us with the results.

Have you been cycling AAS for the last 11 years? What is your AAS history. And totally off topic, why do you want to look good for personal reasons? Are you sure you are mentally ready to be a father? It's the biggest undertaking any responsible male can enter in to. It's a commitment for the life of the child........

Seriously Why'd the doc put you on T3 for a low test count?

Does anyone have any info on this?

I think this guy means some kinda test when he says T3 and not T3 Cytomel-just a guess, but I can't see any connection between T3 CytoMel and increased test production.
