one newspaper showed a picture of 2 white woman wading through water up to their chest while holding bread and bottled water over their head. the caption read "two woman "FIND" food to survive in a store". then there is another paper that had a picture of a black male doing the same thing with a 24 pack of pepsi over his head and the caption read "looting is rampid in new orleans". i thought that was fucked up...

im not trying to justify anything. i think it is fucked up that newspapers would print two identical situations and call one "survival" and the other "Looting". they were both carrying food. now if it were a tv or shoes id think differently but it wasnt.

I knew someone was going to say that. if I was in that situation and I had no supplies left and I went to the supermarket and all they had left was soda, im taking the soda. if all they have left is beer, im taking the beer. just because he had Pepsi does not mean he chose that over the bread and water. lets not be naive.
