Im looking for online news providers that are relativily objective and reliable besides cnn.propganda. English and non english news sources welcome.

Heres my small list:

BBC
reuters
al jazeera ( dont know how objective al jazeera is)

I don't think al jazeera is very objective. they do sometimes get breaking news that nobody else gets, but with a lot of their stuff you have to read between the lines.

Truth be told there are none! You have to use your intelligence to decipher between all the information that you have available! News Sources and the media should not be totally relied on for your information! If you are a sheeple then there is no hope! The real truth of news info is usually classified!

ok. so where do u get ur news from?

bbc is odd at times, most of their good stuff is on TV REALLY late at night almost so no-one will see it

their website is cool

FoxNews :)

Associated press is pretty free, from what i've seen.

Google news is the most thorough news source, they always have 6 or 7 different reports on one event.

I'm not sure there's such a thing as a really neutral press. The miltary scored quite a propaganda coup by "embedding" reporters. On the one hand it looks like the media have unprecedented access but it's also already obvious that the reporters have lost their objectivity and have become cheerleaders.

Generally I find it useful to read the foreign press.

I think the most objective way is to look at many sources. Good portal to access many sources: http://www.newsnow.co.uk/newsfeed/

That being said, each and every country's main media group is likely to be a propaganda machine in some way. CNN is a good example.

For objective informational news about the world outside of China, CCTV (China Central Television) is a decent source: http://www.cctv.com/english/ (http://www.cctv-9.com/ for live broadcast). Please don't disregard this source just because it is run by the Chinese --- it is objective when speaking of the world outside of China. The funny thing is that for news about the Chinese mainland itself, I know of no objective source.
