liquidvar and crystals

I know in a previous thread i heard to run it under hot water and the crystals should go away but they dont. When i got them there were no crystals and now they are forming.. some even kinda sitting against the glass vial its in. Was wondering if anyone hasany suggestions? Can i just use it? how much of it is being wasted? Any other comments?

It can take awhile to dissolve the crystals with hot water.

What I've done in the past is take a pyrex measuring cup, put an inch or so of water in it and microwave the water until it boils (so it is very hot), take it out of the mike until it stops boiling, then set the vial in the water so that the water came up to, but didn't touch, the rubber stopper. It takes some time to dissolve it, and you may have to reheat the water once or twice (take the vial out before you do it) until it is completely liquified again.

Some bake, but I like this approach better, as I think it is gentler on the AS and rubber stopper.

put a frying pan on the stove and put the burner at low.....place the vial on the pan and slowly (over about 5 minutes) inc the temp a few notches.....swirl the mixture around periodically....they'll disslolve

I like gilly's suggestion.

really? I had read about a guy doing it this way awhile back and his vial cracked because the bottom of the pan got too hot versus the water temp... I guess he didn't bring the temp up slow enough or something... I used the method I described above to do it with mine... really it's pretty much the same concept...

I was worried about the crystalizing in liquid var I had and my source said not to heat it. He said it may hurt the compound. I left it, and still got good results. (the var also tested legit)

you got to bring the temp up real slow and not go to high.....
